Just a cute little recovery image (nothing overly serious), showing the bond between Ion and Zephyr

~
It has been a rough week for Ion, first he was experiencing some very painful stomach pains which lead him to go and get checked out at the hospital. Ever since his serious injury where he almost died, Ion has experienced some bowel problems as a significant amount of them had to be removed to save his life back then. This caused his remaining ones to sometimes come loose and cause severe pain in his belly. The main problem with this is that he would require a minor operation to get them all fixed up again. When he went to the hospital, it was discovered that indeed they had come loose again and the minor surgery was scheduled for the next day. Ion underwent the operation smoothly, and he was well enough to go back home that day with Zephyr and recover there, in comfortable surroundings. Zephyr would make sure that any need of Ion during this time he would fulfill while Ion got his rest and recovery. Zephyr did get a little worried though as the day after his operation, Ion suddenly developed a high fever and Zephyr quickly called Meeka over to check on him.

Meeka did give Zephyr the somewhat good news that it was not an infection from his surgery, but Ion had just caught a minor flu from his weakened immune system from the procedure. She just let Zephyr know to make sure Ion got lots of fluids and bed rest as now he had to recover for his operation and a mild flu. So Zephyr made sure that Ion followed Meeka's orders and made sure to fully stay by his mate's side as he recovered from his latest ordeal. He made sure to take good care of him, placing a cool damp cloth on his forehead to help keep his fever down and sitting by his side just in case he needed anything. Zephyr took one of Ion's hands in his own and placed another on the side of his cheek, giving words of comfort to Ion to make him feel better. All Ion could do was smile at Zephyr's gestures as he laid his head back and closed his eyes to get some rest, grateful that he had someone that he loved that was always by his side to help him through anything
