I'm sorry you didn't like my art, but hey---thx for checking out my gallery!
All right, that's my dismissive answer.
Real answer: I chose *Vacak because he is, well, my favorite cartoon animal character. Yes, of all the characters I've grown up with or have been introduced to later in life, Vacak has to be my favorite ...and I've no idea why. ^^ Additionally, Vacak is easy for me to draw since I've drawn him several times before and have studied every inch of him (...what? I'm a furry!). ^^;
*I refuse to refer to Vacak as 'Tiny'
Therefore, Vacak seemed the best choice for my 'Blackwing' card (my next proper ACO subject will probably be Hunter from 'Road Rovers', but I may change my mind about that ...but I digress). :3
As for the Blackwing, what's so special about it?
"Here we have the original Blackwing 602, celebrated worldwide as one of the finest pencils ever made. Eberhard Faber began producing these black stallions in the mid-1930s and continued through the late 90s (by then owned by Sanford)"

Lastly, this pencil represents care and quality among art supplies that we will NEVER see again,

So, yeah (sorry, Zootopia, but I'm REALLY beginning to dislike CG animation now ...and am more determined than ever in my resolve to NEVER buy a tablet). :P

Where did I get my Blackwing (as well as all my Eberhard, Post, Mars, and other rare vintage pencils)?
Back when I worked as an estate liquidator, one of my jobs was to riffle through and empty drawers and the like from the furniture and trunks we'd acquired. I'd then have to sort everything into three categories: sell, bag or trash.
'Bag' was for stuff like used pencils, keychains and other like that had some value but was too cheap to price on its own. For these items, our shop had a 'bag sale': a covered, outdoor area with tables lined with 'treasure' that customers could dig through and fill a box of: a small box was $2, and a big box was $5 (for size reference, our boxes came from the nearby liquor store). ^^
As an employee, I was allowed to take anything I wanted from the bag sale for free ...and I liked pencils (apparently). I wasn't doing much art at the time, but I wanted to, and so desired to be prepared. This Blackwing came from our bag sale (and, even though it's used, I could still get $30 or more for what remains of it).
...and, no, I didn't know it was valuable at the time (I'm not a thief). :P
For some reason I just absolutely ADORE this drawing lol. I've honestly never heard of Tiny Heroes until this drawing lol. Wish I could have experienced it as a kid. Very cute puppy character :3
This dog character also reminds me of the dog character seen in the Blinky Bill episode "Blinky Bill And The Lost Puppy" lol

Yeah, I saw that episone and thought the same thing. That the puppy referred to Nutsy as "Ann" or "Annie" (I forget which), made me think of 'Little Orphen Annie', which was about an orphen girl and her dog (named Sandy). ^^
