Part 5 of 5 of a little series I am drawing where Ion, due to his serous injury where he went into cardiac arrest and almost died years ago, left some permanent damage to the left side of his heart, causing irregular heart beat that required a pacemaker to make it function somewhat normally. Over time though the left side of his heart weakens causing both aortic and mitral regurgitation, to a point where he has to undergo open heart surgery to replace both.
Ion was finishing up one of his walks around the 5th floor of the patient tower with Zephyr by his side acting as a brace for him. Ion was still a bit shaky in the legs after his heart surgery a week ago and Zephyr didn't want him to hurt himself but he was getting better with getting his strength back. As they went back to Ion's room, he was surprised when his friends and family were waiting there for him. Meeka told him that he was making significant improvements and could now continue his recovery in the comfort of his own home. Zephyr revealed that he was in on this, taking Ion out on the walk as a distraction for everybody could show up to surprise Ion on the day of his release from the hospital. Ion just sat on the edge of the bed and smiled back at everybody, happy that everybody was there with him, as they all helped Ion get settled in for the journey home.
A wheelchair was brought in not too long after and Zephyr helped Ion get on, as it was customary to leave the hospital in one and Ion was still a bit shaky, so it was safer to have him ride in one to the waiting car on the ground level. Kyara too the handles and started pushing Ion out of the room and into the elevator lobby, Meeka and Oliver were standing by the doors, waving good bye as Ion was pushed past, while everyone else cheered Ion on his recovery and offered their support while they all waited for one elevator car to come up. When one arrived, they all got in and descended down to the ground floor and went to the front lobby desk. After signing Ion out, they went outside, where Ion took in a deep breath of fresh air after being stuck in the stuffy hospital room for a while and got into the awaiting car. Ion, Zephyr and Kyara crammed into the back seat, with Ion in the middle so either could help him if he needed it, while Lazar and Garrette got into the front seats, with Garrette driving.
Ion's father Ivan, waved good bye to him from the outside, as he had a train to catch to get back to his little village where his medical practice was. Ivan had not been back there since he came into town with Ion to get him to the hospital over a week ago and needed to head back. After saying their good byes, Garrette drove off, heading towards the outside of the city, into the small forest where Ion and Zephyr's home was. Taking their time, they eventually arrived, stopping the car just before the bridge over the river to where the house was, as the bridge was too narrow for cars and was only designed for walking. Zephyr and Kyara helped Ion get out of the car and Zephyr continuing to be his brace, helped Ion walk into their home. They all got Ion comfortably relaxed on the couch as they all stayed for a while, chatting about anything into the evening. Seeing that Ion was starting to get tired and maybe wanting to get to bed, Kyara, Garrette and Lazar all left to return to their home, leaving Ion and Zephyr alone.
Ion started getting up from the couch, as Zephyr quickly ran over to help him. Ion was a bit annoyed and wanted to do some things on his own, but Zephyr told him tough luck as he still needed someone to help him out. Ion knowing he wouldn't win the argument, went along with it as Zephyr helped him to the bathroom where he wanted to do some things before bed. He helped Ion shower and get cleaned up and left him to do some other business but stayed just outside the door in case Ion needed anything. After Ion was done, Zephyr helped Ion to the bedroom and helped him get into bed. Zephyr undressed himself, turned off the lights and got into bed himself as he was also starting to get tired after their long day. Ion and Zephyr chatted and cuddled for a bit in bed before Ion's eyes started to get really heavy and he dosed off to sleep ~
Ya Ion's heart is up and down, it is not overly physically strong requiring constant maintaince but he doesn't let that get him down and technology in his world is advancing where his problem will be fully solved

Damn those 5 parts where well narrated and were...enjoyable to read ^^ I have read them between my fingers like an horror movie but i have read them and i'm pretty happy about it. XP It is astonishing how much details you have put into them >w<
