It is the year 1960 in New Mexico. The sales weasel is Jason Finwick Weasel, and he sells Electrolux vacuum cleaners door to door.

The car is a 1955 Hudson Hornet.
The car even has curb feelers to protect the wide white walls from getting scuffed on a curb.
Those are those wire rods on small springs on each end of the front bumper.
They extend beyond the sidewalls of the tires. And if you get too close to a curb, the feelers will resonate the curb scraping sound through the sheet metal of the car.
