It's Fall here.  Time for the weather to chill, the leaves to fall, and the pumpkins to overwhelm the town.  Hunting season is somewhere in there, but I'd personally like to go find a quiet place to sit and inhale some of that smooooooth tobacco.

Cropped a little off the left and bottom, was making it look really funky to my eye.  If you want I'll upload a full portion somewhere, there were some details in there.  :)

He was originally sketched on some bristol.  Was going to go the whole way traditional but when I started laying down lines with ink I realized I did not care for it.  Did what I did with the badger.

Fifty thousand layers and five months of work.  Hahaha no, there are a lot of layers but I've only been working on it a week.

I admire the lighting job on this! I imagine those extra layers for lighting I bet. Looks mellow yet those leafless trees adds a bit of that ominous feel in the atmosphere. I like it :)

Thanks, it was fun stuff to work with.

I do not use layers to work with lighting or use layer effects. In this case there are more layers than usual, due to the overall style and my methodology of working with it, but all of the coloring of the character is on one layer.

Ahh ok, I tend to work a single layer on a character too unless i'm doing effects or accessories. Still, the composition came out really nice^^

Very nicely done. Nice and clean, drawn well, and not looking directly into the camera. I can't help but to wonder what he is looking at though. It's a thoughtful expression, seems like.

Nothing quite like the refreshing fall air on a relaxing day. I really like his expression and the colors you used, the two compliment each other very well and flow together nicely.

This is great, really evokes fall.. As an aside, that looks like a meerschaum pipe- was it intended to?

I do believe I meant for it to be antler. I think it would be neat to be able to create ones own pipes out of antler, and this guy could probably make a couple new ones every year.
