I'm not sure, but if you post it as a journal on your page you'll probably get a lot more interesting responses. Personally, I believe marriages should be free and open. When it comes to the universe of my comic, most modern nations are very open with marriage. But there will always be those are ultra restrictive, and some that are in between somewhere.

Fun tale and always a nice thing to see updated. While it would be fun to see those two together, understandably not all happens the way people might want. If they are good friends that's a good thing for them both to have, someone in a foreign place they can talk to and relax with. Though the boy best lay off that Siberian vodka or things might become awkward later.

Art imitates life, someone said in the past. Of course, some say it goes the other way around as well but in the end, I think you have managed to make the tale more interesting with that. If everything always goes well, the tale will probably make a lot of 'awww' moments at first but later on nobody feels a tension, a worry if things are going to be alright or not. When its left open to question, when there is a real risk involved, when a character is not given 'plot based immunity' to a measure of trouble and sorrow, that is when a touching story can be given shape and form.
Again, just one fellow's opinion, but I hope it at least does not offend anyone that I speak out such thoughts.
Nonetheless, looking forward to the next part of the story.
