These days, thanks to the strong Föhn wind, where I live, there are wonderful sunny days ... and not too cold (to be at the end of December), which allow you to admire the splendid landscape of the Alps

Here, a screenshot taken from one of my dashcam's videos, dated December 23 (last day of job before holidays). The Alps are covered by clouds due to the strong wind mentioned above...but the rest of the sky is completely clear and clean.

Edit: Second photo, from December 2, has a better visibility of the Alps. Towards the center of the frame, which stands out on the rest of the peaks, you can admire his majesty the Monviso; from which the river Po is born ;)

The mountains remind me of the Rocky Mountains in Montana.

That's a nice town nestled down into a basin the way it is.

Missoula, Montana is the same way, although Missoula is not as big of a town.

North-West. Piedmont (Piemonte). Turin is the regional capital of that region. It borders the Aosta Valley to the north; to the east with Lombardy; to the south with Liguria and to the east with France. We practically have both the mountain and the sea within reach ;)
