Only you, and you alone, know what you can do, at the least of expectations. More often than not, you can actually do much more than you believe. Don't let anyone, even those closest to you, dictate what you can and can't do, especially if they do not, or don't even bother, to know you or what you are capable of. And if they try, do your best to use it as fuel to defy them - it might also fuel doubt in your mind, but be rebellious! This is one of the biggest reasons I make my comics and why I have Patreon - to rub it in their face, and to deny their pride in me when they try to imply some form of always having a belief in me. And yeah, I can hold a grudge and do have a spiteful nature under certain conditions. I make no apologies for that.
