This reptile mercenary succeeded at solving another out-of-control-robot problem, that kept the locals of this area terrified.
This isn't the most dangerous one he's faced so far though!

This pic also displays a kind of technology that got widespread in recent times in known space: Ring guns, which are an evolution of the classic railguns, fire a cilindrical ring projectile using electromagnetic accelerators in a outer barrel plus inner rod arrangement, from between these the projectile is launched.
The ring projectile thanks to its shape has very little air resistance and excellent cutting power, letting it also rip through many kinds of armor. The guntends to generate a lot of heat and smoke after several shots though.
The loading mechanism, and maintenance is relatively simple so these are quite reliable weapons.

Damn...i want one of those rifle, only for the look of it ^^
Well...i would need that adapted for sniper use through XD...I currently use Jakobs sniper rifle for now XP
The snake interest me too >;3

Also...those gauntlet aren't here only for decoration isn't it ? What is their purpose ?

These rifles have a pretty good effective range for their length as the projectile has better aerodynamic characteristics than a bullet of similar weight, so a sniper configuration isn't hard to make :)

The bracers/gauntlets can store high energy density batteries for various equipment, for example the gun's own accelerators (the tube behind the receiver is the battery compartment), that one battery can easily last a magazine.
Also, in the front of the bracers, there are slots for smaller short-range blasters or energy blades in case the fighting gets close and personal, these can also use the batteries in the bracers.

At the first reading, i didn't understand why a battery would be needed...but yeah if you want to shoot in those condition, you need energy for the system to work correctly ^^

But wait a second...so you have to change the battery when you change the magazine ? That means you have 2 things to reload ? That's a little price for it efficiency but it might be a problem in action, no ? But that might be why the storage of the battery need to be the closest to the gun, hence the bracers.

Also...if things get close and personal...burn his face with the canon if it generate that much heat *gears of war mode activated* XD

I meant that one battery can easily last that magazine he has in the gun currently and more, I should've worded that better ^^
But considering the energy densities of the batteries of that time, also depending on what kind of charging method the battery used (some can be recharged by solar mats or other personally carriable items, and some need industrial high compression charging to be fully utilized), I'd say a battery of that size should last at least 2-3 magazines. And if the bracers are connected to the gun with a power cord, it makes things even practical. This is not shown on this pic, but you can see on some of my drawings where cords are used from out-of-gun battery packs, it's a common practice in my setting, but mostly for energy weapons, hybrid ones like the one here have a bit more versatility in this aspect.
