Demordicai Diamonds Character Art

This is my first time drawing Trevor, another character from my comic Demordicai Diamonds. I've been meaning to draw him and his wife for a year now but I never got to it.

Trevor is another one of the residents of Aspen Village and is the local whitesmith and tinker. He often can be found making household objects like tin cups, plates, and other utensils but also likes to dabble in little devices. Though he often works with cold metals, Trevor does know how to operate a forge. He is in his late 40's and has been married to his wife, Greta, for about 15 years.

Trevor grew up with his nomadic family and would travel from town to town making and selling trinkets and utensils. He did a fair share of traveling and sightseeing in his early years and picked up the skill of white smiting from his family. Eventually, Trevor set out by himself to make a name for himself and excel his white smiting business.

Upon one of his trips around the islands close-by Relma, he visited a village and decided to set up shop there for a few days. His quarters just so happened to be a little to close to Greta, a local blacksmith who was very defensive of her trade and believed greatly that black was better than white smiting. The two of them didn't get along well and arguing and bickered constantly, each having a strong dislike for each other. It took time but that dislike eventually turned into fondness the two learned to cooperate and combine their skills along with their business. They left together and went traveling on the road.

Eventually, Trevor and his now fiance, found their way to Aspen Village and found it heartbreaking to find that most of the villagers were murdered and settled down there to help out and also start up their business. They got officially got married soon after and have been growing their business and enhancing their trade ever since.

The one thing that Trevor and his wife hasn't enhanced is their family. They have no children and that is something Trevor tends to worry about. He is well aware of his age and frets that he will not have an heir nor a proper apprentice for his business. Most of the local children have been scared off from any idea of apprenticeship with Trevor and his wife due to Greta's fiery temper.

Trevor has a very nurturing personality but can be a bit of a smart-ass. It's common to hear Trevor and Greta arguing about various things and it is generally well known that it is Greta who wears the pants and is usually the boss.

Besides white smiting and tinkering, Trevor knows how to read and play the lute. He can sing a little do but normally only does that for his wife. He also has an interest in polished rocks and has a polished rock collection. He doesn't like his last name much and finds it embarrassing. If he can't get out of having to tell his family name to someone, Trevor sometimes uses his wife's maiden name of Brookstrider.
