I'm sure you've all seen this crap done in practice before, haha. My own personal collision with this sort of thinking was on the "gender is a spectrum" issue. Disagreeing that gender is on a spectrum got me labelled a transphobe, because trans people, who transition exclusively along a binary, either male or female, are clearly the people in the spotlight when it comes to the assertion that there are potentially millions of genders. I find it absolutely abhorrent when minorities, and their suffering, are used as shields for ideological assertions, as though to dare question the ideas is to constitute literally harming the minority. How convenient. I reject this piffle outright.
Yes, hate speech is a thing, but only for the things that we believe it to be, by the way, throwing of milkshakes is just fun and funny, punching people is just fun and funny, screaming at people is completely fine, making people loose their employment is completely fine.
You see, hate speech is only what I deem it to be.
Everything I do is fine, and anything I deem is hate I can respond in ways that you, morally, might not even consider.

Stolen agency. Even in its most benign form, this behavior is rooted in the held belief that members of the supposedly-oppressed class being spoken for are incapable of speaking for themselves, and are completely uniform of opinion. It steals from them their agency, and then uses it as a cudgel. It's bigotry wrapped in a pretty bow.
Sex, race, nationality, social/legal/economic class - it doesn't matter which collective is being used this way, the behavior and its core pathology are identical in all cases: that collectives have higher value than their individual members, and thus anyone claiming to represent a(n) (oppressed) collective holds higher moral ground than individuals who oppose the claimant.
It's nothing less than a power play, even when it comes from the good intentions of useful idiots.
Ideological collectivism is so flawed that calling it evil is not a stretch. It leads to gross errors in reasoning and allows human animals to rationalize themselves into truly horrific things. It is not unique in this, but it is notable for being so common.
I have also found that people steeped in a collectivist mindset have difficulty understanding that there are people who don't think that way, that there are people who genuinely do treat people as individuals to the best of our monkey-brain ability. See any conversation between a European socialist and an American conservative for useful examples.

The 'millions of genders' thing was one of those that always made me irate.
"Oh, look at me! I'm a (made up gender) not because I have gender dysphoria and hate my body, but because I wanna be a special snowflake with a unique title for myself! Because that's all non binary is right? Just something to call myself cuz it's cool and trendy- and if anyone dares to call me out on my bullshit, I'll claim that they're against trans people!"

Indeed. During the whole drama explosion I was involved in, I had many arguments put to me that supposedly demonstrated the validity of these new genders. Almost all of them were about something unrelated, like trans people or intersex people being proof of it. Despite nobody being required to be trans or intersex to claim they are non-binary and almost all of them being neither in any case.
I was shown one single study in all that time, which was about psychiatric interviews in which patients claimed they felt neither male nor female. What incredibly irrefutable evidence that is.
The legitimate evidence, physical, biological evidence around trans and intersex people was used to cover the fact that this issue is about something else entirely and that these other genders were literally being fabricated on a whim on sites like tumblr. My disdain for this and particularly for the push to teach this to young children basically ruined my reputation and got me labelled as a transphobic bigot. Leaving that bubble of entrenched delusion is something that my reputation has yet to recover from. Insane.

Aye, it is worse than mere hypocrisy, but rather a malicious double standard intended to condemn opponents while simultaneously permitting themselves to do whatever they like. Nakedly nonsensical and infantile in the extreme.

Yeah. If I don't want someone to call me something, I don't want ANYBODY to call me that.
As for double standards, they make me so angry. My dad used to get onto me and my sister if he heard us use a swear word, ANY swear word, and then, he'd use the very words we weren't allowed to use. My thoughts were, "Dad, can you say double standard and hypocrisy?"
Yeah. If I don't want someone to call me something, I don't want ANYBODY to call me that. As for d
My favorite one ever was a guy I hated in school who always said "yeah you're just saying that because i'm gay." Not even close, i'm saying it because you're constantly being a dickhead xD

Lol aye, that's like when a shit movie comes out, gets reviewed by ordinary people as shit, but media outlets then claim that the people who dislike it hate it because it has women in it, or too many black people, etc etc. Instead of them just not liking it because they think it's a crap film.
