Chapter 8
While Chip was flying in the sky happily until he heard Malinda singing with Sonic's voice. He flew towards the ship's window and peeked to see the brown hedgehog boy singing and laughed evilly.
"What a lovely little groom I'll make, my dear I'll look divine
Things are working out according to my ultimate design
Soon I'll have that little merhog and the ocean will be mine!"
When Chip saw the hedgehog's reflection he saw it was Malinda in disguise.
"The sea witch! I have to tell Sonic." Chip said to himself as he flew off and found Sonic on the jetty. "Sonic, there you are! You're not gonna believe this. I saw that the brown hedgehog boy with your voice is actually the sea witch!"
Everyone especially Sonic gasped.
"Yup! That's right! Prince Shadow is marrying Malinda in disguise!" Chip cried.
"Are you sure about this?" Knuckles asked.
"Yes!" Chip replied.
"What are we gonna do?" Tails asked worriedly.
Sonic hopped into the water but he couldn't swim. Knuckles cut the rope with empty barrels.
Sonic, grab on to the barrel! Tails, chest him to that boat you can!" Knuckles said. "While I'll go get to the sea queen. She must know about this.
Sonic grabbed the barrel with Tails grabbing the rope which was attached to the same barrel Sonic was holding and were on their way to the ship.
"What about me, Knuckles?" Chip asked.
"You'll find a way to stall that wedding!" Knuckles replied as he hopped into the ocean to find Aleena.
Chip flew away and called the birds and seacreatures for emergency as they followed him.
Meanwhile in the wedding, Shadow and Malinda stood in front of the priest as he proceed the ceremony while Malinda grinned wickedly at the sunset
"Do you Shadow, take Liam, to be your lawfully wedded husband, for as long as you both shall live?" asked the priest.
"I do." Shadow replied as he was still under the spell.
Suddenly Chip, birds and the sea creatures showed up and began to crash the wedding by causing trouble especially on Malinda. While Sonic managed to climb aboard the ship, Three pelicans dropped water and small seacreatures on her from their mouths, starfishes attacked her, sea lions tossed her up and down until she landed on the wedding cake, dolphins spat out water on her and then Chip was about to snatch her necklace.
"I'll take that!" Chip said as he grabbed the seashell necklace.
"Oh no you won't, you little furball!" Malinda yelled as she strangled Chip until a lobster sneaked behind Malinda and pinched her tail which caused her to scream in pain and lost her grip as Chip snatched the necklace and smashed it into pieces.
After the seashell was smashed, the hypnosis was broken and Sonic's voice was free and it went back into Sonic's voice and he sand in front of everyone.
"Sonic?" Shadow said with a surprise as he heard Sonic sing and talk.
"Shadow!" Sonic smiled.
"You can talk? You're the one!" Shadow smiled as he walked towards Sonic.
"Shadow, get away from him!" Malinda yelled with her real voice but Shadow didn't listen.
"It was you all the time?" Shadow asked with a smile.
"Shadow, I wanted to tell you something." Sonic blushed as when they were about to kiss each other but it was too late. The sun already came down and Sonic turned back into a merhog and Shadow was surprised to see what Sonic really was.
"You're too late!" Malinda laughed wickedly as she transformed back into her normal form as she crawled towards Sonic and grabbed him. "So long, lover boy!"
She winked her eye with a flirt as she hopped into the ocean with her while Shadow tried to catch up with them but it was too late. Shadow was so determinded that he rowed on a life boat to find Sonic.
"Shadow, what are you doing?" asked Owlan worriedly.
"Owlan, I lost him once. I'm not gonna lose him again." Shadow said determindedly as he kept rowing.
