Chapter 7
The next morning, Sonic and Shadow were leaving the castle to have a tour in the kingdom. Shadow showed Sonic around in the town. Sonic was excited by everything around him, they had a great time together during the tour why watching a puppet show, danced and took a stroll in the park, but they didn't kiss each other.
One evening, Sonic and Shadow were rowing on a small boat in a calm lagoon while Knuckles, Chip and Tails were watching them if the two hedgehogs kissed each other but they didn't. They just looked at each other shyly and blushing.
"Nothing happened." Chip sighed. "Only one day left, and the prince didn't pucker up once. All right, this calls for a romantic song."
Chip sat on a tree and started to sing opera song but he sang badly. And both Shadow and Sonic heard it.
"Wow. Somebody should find that poor animal and put it out of its misery." said Shadow hearing Chip's bad singing and Sonic kinda facepalmed in disappointment.
"Geez...I'm surrounded by amateurs! You want something done, you've got to do it yourself." sighed Knuckles made an orchestra and the animals and seacreatures including Knuckles began to play music and sing a song called "Kiss the boy". "First, we got to create the mood. Percussion. . . . Strings. . . . Winds. . . . Words. . . . "
"There you see him
Sitting there across the way
He don't got a lot to say
But there's something about him

"Did you hear something?" Shadow asked as he heard Knuckles' voice but Sonic shook his head.
"Yes, you want him
Look at him, you know you do
It’s possible he wants you, too
There is one way to ask him
It don’t take a word
Not a single word
Go on and kiss the boy"
When Sonic was about to kiss Shadow, he was so shy he turned away and kept rowing.
"Sing with me now." Knuckles said to the sea creatures as they began to sing along with Knuckles.
"Sha-la-la-la-la-la
My, oh, my
Look at the boy too shy
He ain’t gonna kiss the boy
Sha-la-la-la-la-la
Ain’t that sad
Ain’t it shame, too bad
You gonna miss the boy"
"You know, I feel really bad not knowing your name. Maybe I could guess." said Shadow as he was trying to guess Sonic's name. "Is it Maurice?"
Sonic shook his head disgustedly.
"Okay, no. Maybe Jordan?" Shadow guessed again and Sonic shook his head again.
"Sonic. His name is Sonic." Knuckles whispered.
"Sonic?" Shadow said confusedly.
Sonic nodded.
"Hmmm.. That's a handsome name. Okay, Sonic." Shadow blushed and they held their hands. And the boat headed under a tree and fireflies were flying as Sonic and Shadow blushed at each other while Knuckles and the sea creatures and birds continued singing.

When Sonic and Shadow were about to kiss each other, the boat tripped over and the fell into the water. But they didn't know that Mephiles and Iblis were responsible for tipping over the boat. And they smiled at each other.
Meanwhile in Malinda's cave she saw the whole thing.
"Nice work, boys! That was a close one. Too close. The little punk!" Malinda snarled. "Oh, he's better than I thought. At this rate, he'll be kissing him
by sunset for sure. Well, it's time Malinda took matters into her own tentacles! Aleena's son will be mine, and then I'll make her write. I'll see her wriggle like a worm on a hook!"
Malinda made a potion to transform herself into a handsome male hedgehog with brown fur and she laughed with Sonic's voice.
One night Shadow sat on the beach sighing as he looked at Sonic who was in his guestroom and he was slowly beginning to have feelings for Sonic and he was about to give up on the person with the voice. Suddenly he heard a familiar singing voice on the beach. He looked to see who it was, it was Malinda in her male hedgehog form singing with Sonic's voice which placed Shadow under a hypnotized spell.
The next morning when Sonic was walking through the hallway he saw Shadow with another male hedgehog. He was shocked. But he didn't know Shadow was under Malinda's spell.
"Well, Shadow. It appears that I was mistaken. This mystery gentleman of yours does in fact exist. And he is handsome. Congratulations." Owlan smiled.
"We wish to be married this afternoon, Owlan." said Shadow while he was under a spell. "The wedding ship departs at sunset."
"Yes, Shadow." said Owlan.
Sonic was shocked and heartbroken to hear the wedding announcement and ran off crying as Malinda smiled evilly.
Later before the sunset, the wedding ship left the castle, leaving Sonic crying and shed tears of heartbreak while Tails and Knuckles looked sadly at Sonic.
