Chapter 9
The next day, Sonic was in the palace, looked sad and worried if he'd lose Amy if he told her the truth and couldn't keep his promise to free Tails.
"Sultan? They want me to be sultan?" he thought to himself and then he turned to the lamp.
"Tails, I'm sorry. I can't set you free. You're right. I've got to tell her the truth." said Sonic sadly at the lamp as he left it behind to go find Amy to tell her.
But little did he noticed, Wakim showed up and stole the lamp. In the palace entrance when Robert stood on top and announced to the people about Amy found a suitor.
"People of Rosagbah, my daughter has finally chosen a suitor!" Robert announced with joy.
While Amy was behind the curtain to see her father make his speech. Sonic showed up.
"Amy, there's something I've got to tell you." said Sonic nervously.
"Sonic, you're just in time. The whole kingdom has turned out for my father's announcement." Amy smiled excitedly as she grabbed his hand and rushed upstairs.
"No! Amy, listen to me!" said Sonic but she didn't listen as she kissed him and excitedly pushed him out onto the platform as Robert introduced Sonic!s name while he overlooked at the crowd nervously.
Meanwhile in Wakim's lab, he rubbed the lamp and Tails emerged from it and got surprised and shocked to see it wasn't Sonic.
"Whoah! Wait a minute! You're not Sonic!" gasped Tails.
"That's right! My name is Wakim and I'm your new master!" said Wakim smiling wickedly.
"I was afraid of that" said Tails worriedly
"Genie, grant me my first wish. I wish to rule on high, as sultan!" Wakim demanded.
As his first wish granted, the sky became cloudly and dark as the palace began to lift up to the mountain by Tails. The people ran away me Sonic was shocked to see what Tails had done.
"Tails, what are you doing?" Sonic asked.
"I'm sorry, Sonic. But I've got a new master now!" Tails replied sadly.
"What?" Sonic gasped.
"That's right!" smiled Wakim as he showed up and everyone were shocked.
"Wakim, what's the big idea?" Robert asked angrily.
"I'm the new ruler of Rosagbah!" Wakim replied. "And you will now down to me!"
"We'll never bow to you!" yelled Amy.
Wakim became very furious.
"If you will not bow before a sultan, then you will cower before a sorcerer!" Wakim screamed as he turned to Tails. "Genie, my second wish! I wish to be my true identity, Khalid, the most powerful sorcerer in the world!"
"No! Tails!" Sonic cried.
But it was too late, because Tails had turned Wakim's purple skinny cobra into a muscular blue cobra. Everyone were shocked in horror to see.
"Khalid, no! It can't be!" gasped Robert in horror.
"Surprised to know I was right under your nose this entire time, Robert? How naive to think your despicable family could get rid of me so easy!" Khalid smiled evilly.
"I thought the ancient magicians got rid of you." said Robert confusedly and shocked.
"Those infernal fools and the royal blood of Rosagbah, neither having the power or the heart to destroy me, indeed they only thought they did so. By merely imprisoning me in the body of a mortal and so stripping me from most of my powers!" he said. "And I needed genie magic to break this curse! And now,...after all these years... all of Rosagbah shall at last, kneel and tremble before the return of the great Khalid!"
"You won't get away with this, Khalid!" cried Sonic as he and Chip was about to attack attack him.
"Oh, I think I will, Prince Nickie, or should I say, Sonic the Hedgehog!" Khalid smiled wickedly as he used his magic to turn from Sonic's prince outfit into his original ragged clothes and turned Chip from elephant back into a light gaia.
Amy was shocked and confused to see that she realised Sonic wasn't actually a prince.
"Amy, I tried to tell you. I'm not really a prince." said Sonic sadly.
Wakim used his magic to place Sonic and Tails inside a tall pillar and made it fly like a rocket but he didn't noticed the carpet rushed into the pillar.
"Sonic!" Amy cried in tears while Tails looked sadly at the pillar flew away.
When the pillar crashed into a cold and snowy mountain Sonic and Chip sat in the snow sadly.
"This is all my fault, Tails. I should have set Tails fre when I had the chance." Sonic looked down sadly. "We gotta go back so I can set things right!"
"But how are we gonna get out of here?" Chip asked sadly.
But then, the carpet showed up. Chip and Sonic were happy to see the carpet. As they hopped onto and headed straight to Rosagbah.
