Chucky

As comical is that would be, they're both straight. And Adam is married, so even if Chucky was gay, it still wouldn't happen.

I've lived in New England all my life, so I know a good Nor'easter when I see one, (now if only we could get a good one this year.)
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
I think one a year was about all I could stand when I lived there.

Last year  ground to a halt cos of snow. Obama wouldn't do that
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
Oh yeah that's right, I forgot about your snow episode last year. The whole country came to a halt. Yeah, it would take about a meter of snow for that to happen in New England. And even then, they would have it plowed by noon.
Coop

Wait our snow was on American news?
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
Oh yes. A lot of Americans got stranded over there.
Coop

and did locals get angry or confused at what we we're doing about it?
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
If you mean locals as in, people around where I live, I don't think they cared. But I'm sure some people were shaking their heads.

I knew from reading his story that hes not gay, just a horny teen looking to bang the girls or just thinking about them and pawing off.I hope he stays this way, myself
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
Well, he'll certainly be pawing off thinking about them, that won't change. ;)

Is this the actual next Page or just a random?

I ask because their wasn't any notification on FA just this page.

Either way I love the look on Chuckys' face in the last pannel.
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
This is the next page. I'll be posting them on FA from here on, no more underage skunk boys to get me in trouble. Did you miss a page?

No, but it felt like I did.

No biggie ^_^

Apbout how long does this take per page? There's a good "lots of work plus real life" gap between posts, but I'm curious about how long these take, from pencils to ink to color. And are these done on paper, digital, or both?
lilwiseone
13 years, 4 months ago
I seem to remember Chucky saying it's 40+ hours per comic, though I don't remember any more specifics.
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
They're done on both. I freehand it in pencil first, which takes about 10 hours. Then I ink the drawing with black micron to preserve it. Then I scan it and from there it takes close to 40 hours of photoshop work to finish it.

panel 4:  Uhhhh....what?
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
Sorry, aviation mumbo jumbo. 180@5 means wind blowing from 180 degrees at 5 knots. 10 miles visibility, a ceiling(clouds) of 9000 feet overcast(sky completely obscured) until 1300 World Time.

Ah, I'm one from the southeast of the United States, so I don't fully know the deal with this one.  Adding the fact that I didn't do too well in my Weather course in college and...yeah, I doubt that I should be flying anything.

^_^

Still, I'm loving how this goes.  I also have a question of cameos (unintentional rhyming, but I'll take it).

Keep up the great work!
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
I lived in New Hampshire for a few years, and it seemed like big weather systems like this were a regular occurrence. They were very annoying. There's supposed to be a little humor to it, but it's more of an inside joke I guess. What is your question about cameos?
DMajorBoss
13 years, 4 months ago
Oh, I was just curious as to how one might make it within.  I admit that I did grin at the thought of one (or both) of my two anthropomorphic characters making an appearance.  Though, I also don't want to be one of "those" types who want to be featured as such as well...if that makes sense.

^_^
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
Honestly for cameos, it's all about timing. If I cameo someone, they'll likely be in a crowd or a group like this or something. The owner of the white vixen happen to ask me right before I did this page. I can't promise anything, but who are your characters?
DMajorBoss
13 years, 4 months ago
My characters are featured in my "Sitting on Tales" series on IB.  They're names are Ryon Bahamouse and Shryp Rypson; respectively, a brown rat (with orange stomach) and a black dog (with white stomach).
Chucky
13 years, 4 months ago
Ah I found some art of them, they're cute! I think they'd fit in well.
DMajorBoss

Ah, thank you.  If you see their stories, you may like as well.

Yay, someone who knows the terminology! And if your hand was getting sore, I done a good job with my art.

I got a baaaad feeling about this.  That's a mean looking front to be flying near/in.
Chucky

Yeah, you wouldn't want to fly though that, especially in a small trainer.

It's always amusing how TAF's like that are bad news for VFR traffic (Especially being below VFR minimums)- but something we wouldn't even consider a minor inconvenience.
Chucky
13 years, 3 months ago
To be a student pilot in the Northeast, lots of bad days.
Yugabia

The south has what's sometimes called summer popcorn. In which every day, around 1pm, storms start building everywhere and are thunderstorms by 4 or so. Almost without fail. So you get rather used to it. However icing is much less of a concern down south. Of course, it's only a concern at all if you're going to be flying IFR.
Chucky
13 years, 3 months ago
I've heard of the popcorn thunderstorms before, it's nice that they're so reliable with time. You could plan all your flying in the morning. Where I was flying for a little while, it was density altitude. The airport was at 3000 feet MSL, and I'd get all my flying done before noon in the summer. After noon, they planes just didn't perform at all.
Yugabia
13 years, 3 months ago
Usually you would try to get your flying done in the morning- but when it comes to things like your cross country flights that's really possible. I did do some flying in Colorado though, and the elevation made things ridiculous! The field was just shy of 5,000 ft. And then you'd climb up to 9,000 and the plane would be struggling. Especially if you had baffles in because it was cold in the morning- by the time you landed the thing would barely be able to climb at all.

With a big jet on an IFR clearance that has to meet a climb gradient, density altitude can be a real bear. Especially when you throw in things like it being 110 degrees. Or on the opposite side of that, anti-ice required for the take off. Of course, with the C-17 that really only comes into play when we're at heavy weights. At light weights we can take off on a 130 degree day and easily see 5000 vvi up!
