Character Description
What is up with that name?

Well you see the answer should be pretty obvious to people who know a lot about religion but I imagine I'll have to explain it.

I'll start with the surname because that's easiest.

-

If you search for the name Ulfberht you'll probably get something about sword forging but the name originates from a group of people known as the Banpir.

The Banpir and the Dura were 2 rival civilizations that lived in Europe and Africa a long time ago.

They had different religious beliefs and so they didn't get along.

The Dura worshipped a goat god and believed strongly in togetherness and preserving the environment, the Banpir by comparison worshiped a coyote god and believed in development and the pursuit of wealth.

Over the generations these two sides fought over Europe with several sub variants of each side's beliefs fighting each other, most notably the Dura's direct descendants the Viking being in conflict with the Banpir's direct descendants the Romans.

In the end a hybrid of the two faiths or rather very very long descendants of them appeared in the form of Christianity and Europe was united at least for the most part.

So the Ulfberhts were simply descendants of the Banpir but despite not being connected to the Romans still held firmly to the belief of progress and hierarchy.

Josh retains the surname so he must be a direct descendant of these people.

-

Rothemd is another interesting one.

It translates literally as The Red Shield but if you look that up you get some controversy about the government and stuff.

The REAL Red Shield were the private armed forces of the king of Denmark and they later went on to become an empire of their own in northern Europe.

Often incorrectly referred to as the Visigoths, these Aryan folk were responsible for the downfall of the Roman empire however long before that they were the main front of Scottish armed forces fighting over the UK.

They fought against impossible odds to keep the Romans and their descendants from invading however they suffered heavy losses after in the battle to protect Macbeth king of Scotland and disappeared into obscurity before becoming part of the English forces instead as part of the Yeoman of the Guard a few hundred years later.

The Rothemd were very much against the Banpir but after serving under English sovereignty they completely did a 180 on their beliefs.

Josh having a hybrid of the two names means he's very likely to have direct Rothemd roots, possibly even a member of high standing within the family.

-

The surname Rüdban itself is a hybrid of red and dog and so works as a reference to both surnames.

-

Now onto that scary forename, Jeuschuetz.

I'm sure by now you've probably noticed the fact that all three names are German but what you might not have noticed is that they are all names with religious context, in particular relating to the rise of Christianity in Europe.

Jeuschuetz is not a variant of Joshua per say and its similarity to the word Jesuit isn't coincidental either however it's not a direct connection to the Society of Jesus.

The Joshuists (Jesuia) were a rival religious group in Germany to both the Christians (Jesuans) and the Society of Jesus (Jesuit).

It must have been confusing for the people at the time because all three seemed very similar to each other.

However the Joshuists were the most unpopular of the three and did a lot of changing their belief system to stay popular with modern trends.

Attempting to be number 1, when the king ordered that all Bibles be replaced with his own custom version of it the Joshuists branded themselves as the face of this new wave of belief.

However the book now known as The Black Bible due to its horribly offensive beliefs was soon rejected and the Joshuists were downtrodden for a while.

However this time they stayed true to the offensive beliefs and became social outcasts.

Anyone who would name their child Jeuschuetz must be a descendant of them because why would you?

Background/History
Josh grew up in a very wealthy and religiously strict family and despite himself being somewhat of a player he does very much follow the rules.

He left his family in Germany to pursue Sam as the family believes that Sam is the epicenter of corruption and Josh being the favorite child must be sent to 'purify' the people.

Josh of course doesn't disappoint in this respect. He believes his family's own interpretation of the religion even more than they do, though he often bends the rules in his favor without specifically breaking them, which is totally acceptable according to the family.

As such Josh made it his mission to spend all his free time telling Sam exactly what he's doing wrong with his life and making himself out to be the voice of reason.

Being rather attractive and charismatic and often being right by deliberately waiting for people to screw up and then pouncing on them and giving unwarranted advice, many people who don't know him well might be fooled.

However deep down Josh'es motives are very much self-centered and after drawing people in he often manipulates things in his favor. People who know him well enough find him tiresome.

Despite being a relatively outgoing kind of person he does enjoy his me time and likes to read his bible, like A LOT. Probably looking for passages he can use to his benefit.

As well as being fairly good at sports simply because he's very physically fit, he's also skilled at martial arts, in particular a style resembling Muay Thai that's been handed down the generations in his family.

He also enjoys a bit of parkour and having a good workout, but his idea of eating healthily though usually entirely home made cuisine often involves huge portions of meat and not much else.

It seems to be working for him and his washboard abs though so who are you to complain, even if he does have more than a few things to say about vegans and vegetarians.

Irritatingly Josh seems to hate almost everything for religious reasons including the latest TV shows, movies, music, you name it.

Instead he likes to enjoy pretty much only Christian entertainment and thinks it's amazing and faultless even if it's very poor quality often trying to steer others into enjoying it.

Josh is also the kind of person who dispenses his knowledge like it or not online and gives a thumbs up to every religious post he can find that his religion agrees with, often leaving passages from his own offensive beliefs for others to share.

You'd think this would mean he gets along with other religious people but he's just as eager to prove them wrong as everybody else.

Quite frankly his extreme right wing views are nearly never shared by the audience and those who do agree with him are rarely the kind of religious individual he wants to associate with.

In short his extreme religion is his everything aside from a bit of flirting and exercise and despite his eagerness to take part in things he does mostly the opposite by being as close to the definition of holier than though as he can be.

[no. he's not based on a real person. he's not even inspired by real people or any kind of real trends or factions of any sort. he's just an imagining of what would happen if a jerk got hold of religion and went too far with it. he's a joke character. i know. it's not a very good joke]
Relatives/Family
Josh often talks about his family and we've seen them a few times. It's a very large family with multiple generations of family members from great grand parents all the way down to nephews and nieces of Josh. To explain the entire family would take considerable time.

However they rarely feature in the Sammu fandom itself as Josh lives away from his family in Germany so they rarely visit, but Josh often talks to them through video chat when he's alone.

Josh'es family are very religiously strict and Josh certainly does not disappoint them in following their beliefs making him rather popular among them as the favorite child.

Needless to say he keeps them as far away from the rest of the members of John's apartments as he can to avoid trouble on either end.
World/Setting
To all intense purposes the main canon Josh belongs to is almost a carbon copy of the real world. For that reason Josh often takes human form in public but around John's apartments where everyone is his friend and knows his secret he can be found in anthropomorphic form. Similarly when in the club he frequents he may take anthro form as long as only him and the fellow members of John's apartments are present, which is often the case.

Josh can also appear in other canons by using the teleporting door of The HORS Hotel to hop dimensions, in which case the laws of that world apply, apart from anything that changes the Josh persona into something it's not.

In these kinds of settings it might be normal for anthropomorphic animals to exist so Josh will take his anthro form if that's the case.
Body
Despite being a coyote he has black fur all over his body except for tan colored skin insides including the insides of his ears and his mouth.

Orange eyes and somewhat reflective like a cat's.

Though not built like a pro-wrestler the guy is ripped. His washboard abs make the men a little uncomfortable and he's all too eager to take his shirt off.

Josh can also take full canine (non-anthro) form if wants to.
Clothing
Josh usually wears the same deal day after day.

Baggy orange-brown trousers with drawstrings at the ankles.

Light grey shirt of coarse material with rolled up sleeves or white sleeveless vest.

It's worth noting that Josh can wear shoes in his anthro form despite the fact he prefers not to, however in his full canine form (non-anthro) his clothes will fall off as they are too loose.
Accessories
Tends not to carry anything other than his clothes possibly for religious reasons.

At least that's the excuse he gives for never having money to pay for things and asking others to do it for him.

I'm John Samer AKA http://inkbunny.net/JohnSamer98

I lost both my password to my Inkbunny account and my email account when my PC kicked the bucket so can't really get into my account again. I think I got real close to what they were but might be off by a few characters as it was a long string of random letters and numbers and it was not wise to not write it down somewhere.

Sammu Akuchin Wamm is the name of my personal OC that represents myself (if in a manner of behavior that is totally out of character with myself) and that's why I have this username. The full name's a mouthful so most call him just Sam. Also don't call him Wammu. It's not clever it's just just stupid and not even funny. Trust me I've heard much better puns.

Fan art of Josh may require some negotiation as they're not my character so you'll have to get permission for his owner just as I do to use the character. I know people are going to draw art of my characters whether I like it or not but remember that if you are sending it to me personally then please try at least to make it something I might like and obviously read the website's rules before posting anything. My persona is not the same personality as myself by no stretch of the imagination. If you think I might be into something because someone drew Sammu doing it in a fanart remember that my persona's personality is nothing like my own.

Please remember that this character is owned by their original creator and not by me. You will have to get permission from Christian Chandler of 3PR before you can use it. Don't come crying to me about it because it's essentially out of my hands. I can't help you there. You can't beg and plead to me for me to change their mind about it. That's not my job. It's between you and them.

If I see people trying to turn this stuff into pedophilia I will not be happy. Also whilst on that subject you can create whatever sick perverted nonsense you like in your own home but if you start making that kind of nonsense don't expect that somehow I'll be supportive of that. Break the law and somebody will probably report you to the appropriate authorities and that includes the rules of this website.

On a lighter note I'd prefer it if you looked up a character's profile or some examples of works they've been in before making fan content. It's okay to have your own interpretation of a character but you should always try to stay somewhat similar to the source material. I'm not saying that you can't have some sort of rampant escapade with my characters in but it is slightly jarring when they have a complete personality transplant. You get extra brownie points for remembering obscure facts about the character instead of stumbling over contradictions.

Remember that the Sammu fandom is a constantly shifting thing of course and as such memes will shift in and out of use. Might want to keep on top of the latest trends so you don't look a bit out of fashion. That's not to say you can't use your favorite character or setting that's already out of style but of course if you do then try to make it your own rather than just spitting dad jokes essentially.

I hate people like this. People shouldn't war with the holy things. Religion says we are all brothers. If you treat your family like this then you are disgraceful.

exactly bee buddy.

luckily i know plenty of nice religious people so I know it doesn't represent the group as a whole.

I just wish more nice religious people would speak up when people are abusing their religion in a topic.

We need the nice guys to show people they're not all bad.

it's a shame you really have to dig the earth to find good preachers.

especially when they're the majority.
