Internet troubles are over! :D Let's celebrate by putting my immortal phoenix girl in trouble!
As an immortal being, Kaz found it increasingly more difficult to keep a low profile and keep her unusual age hidden. To this end, she’d taken to moving to a different country with a fake ID and starting life anew every few decades. Unfortunately, criminal bigshot Louie DeRoc figured out her forgeries and now was using that knowledge to blackmail the phoenix and keep her under his employ in his strip club, The Den Of Delights. An exotic beauty like her, and a dancer no less, would fetch him a pretty penny with her alluring performances.
Kaz, for the most part, put up with it as she considered getting arrested for identity fraud a bigger insult to her pride than having to perform in a less charming establishment than she was used to. Also, she felt responsible for the other dancers, and tried to protect them from Louie’s horrible treatment whenever she could.
This often led to heated arguments between the two, like today, as the greedy hog had been cheating his dancers out of their pay (again), which Kaz was having none of. But Louie has his ways to keep his underlings nice and quiet.
