This is a draw that I would have had to finish and publish 2 years ago, but that was left aside...until recently. As the title says, it's a personal tribute to the 70th anniversary of the famous car manufacturer of Maranello...the Ferrari!
the two sides respectively represent the first racecar built after World War II (during the rebirth of the brand) and also the first car to be totally Ferrari, given that it had previously been a combination Ferrari-Alfa Romeo...the Ferrari 125 S; and the 2017 F1 Championship racecar, the SF70H.
Ferrari is definitely the most famous car manufacturer in the world, and has marked the history of motoring (both for its road cars and for racing cars). All this thanks to the genius of its founder, Enzo Ferrari, and to the incredible work of his collaborators and friends.
Many films have been made on Ferrari or in any case linked to Ferrari (last of which "Rush")...but one in particular has remained in my heart:
It's a miniseries divided into two episodes, of Italian production, called simply "Ferrari"; and tells the story of Enzo Ferrari, since he was a child, how his dream was born, until his old age...all surrounded by an aura of mystery.
The film is also accompanied by a beautiful soundtrack, which makes the vision pleasant and engaging...and then, what to say, the interpretation of Enzo Ferrari is of the famous actor Sergio Castellitto.
Here instead a beautiful scene that I will try to describe briefly: https://youtu.be/9wOL4fUhx-o?t=88 Enzo meets the famous car designer Vittorio Iano, in his home in Turin, and tries to convince him to become his collaborator; in fact, he wants to take over the Alfa Romeo Racing Department. Vittorio, initially hesitant, finally decides to follow him to Milan...where Enzo manages to persuade the Alfa Romeo bosses to listen to his proposal. At first they aren't very convinced of the proposal, but when Enzo shows them the projects, they start to be very interested. He explains that among his collaborators has the best designer on the market, but they say that the best (Vittorio Iano) is in the hands of Fiat, and that he has already rejected all their proposals...at that point Enzo explains to them that obviously the "dream" wasn't included in their proposals, and also that "sometimes dreams can be contagious". So, Enzo goes to the door and presents Vittorio Iano to them, who will accept the proposal of Ferrari...and finally the Ferrari's Dream begins...
