Gaming is an expensive hobby, so naturally Pepper went to look for a job on the side of her college studies as soon as she could. She found work at the local pub as barmaid. The clientele could be a bit less shady and she wouldn't be surprised if her boss had a criminal record, but at least the pay was decent.
All that changed about three months after she started when a bunch of thugs, led by a white-furred wolf claiming to work for someone called King Midas barged into the watering hole while the red panda girl was closing up for the night. "Hey! Can't you read the sign!? We're clo-ssmmph!!" Quickly, her protests were muffled by the wolf stuffing a dishtowel into her maw as his goons held the fiery-furred gal down.
The canine, introducing himself as Silver, smiled gently as he got out a few more dishtowels to secure Pepper's gag and tie her to a barstool. "We're just coming to collect our share of the profits, sweetheart. Surely your boss has told you about the services The Fangs Of Midas provide to this establishment?"
As the thugs emptied the cash register and helped themselves to the booze, Pepper could only helplessly struggle as that creep of a Silver admired his handiwork. It was just a simple cloth, yet they had tied it extremely well. That settled it, Pepper was gonna hand in her resignation first thing tomorrow. A new gaming themed bar and arcade called Neo Nostalgia Zone had opened in town last week, that place looked infiitely better than this shifty joint, especially in her current situation.
First she'd have to get herself out of this mess, though.
