Kit left no goodbye no nothing I walk in our park where we had a lot of fun over the years remembering all the good times it doesn´t help that slowly the old leaves fall from the trees aand litter the way I walk on all that is left is an empty space in my heart and the question Why ?
I'm really sorry this has happened to you, and I hope that you at least get some kind of an answer one day. If anyone deserves one, surely you do. It's a beautiful picture, for all that it's a heartbreaking one, and it's a touching tribute to what was. I feel great sympathy for Selene. I've lost friends like that and in the same manner. (They just up and disappear.) Selene is my third most favorite coloration for a cat. I almost feel guilty of doing the same thing to some contacts I had. I hope they realized the problems I had going on before I vanished on them. I'm pretty sure I had told them what happened in the year leading up to my disappearance. Been on the side of this as well and God damn did it hurt.

i'm not one to speak up often, not one to make any comments and generally go under radars out of a choice. That being said. I am one who is there when needed, one that will listen, provide comfort, advice, anything needed. No matter how little is known between me and the other person, i will be there. Door is always open, discord ready if requested, method of chat set to go.
i'm someone who goes through hell for others by choice. This will be no different. As Selene walked through the park, she noticed a human wearing jeans and a denim jacket sitting on a bench next to a bottle of rum and a two liter of soda. Even though she can't see his face, there's something familiar about him. She rememberers that adopted human boy who signed up for the military out of high school and how someone said that he was always overseas. She walks over to the bench to see that it is that boy, only he definitely isn't what he used to look like. He always looked like someone who usually sat on a couch through high school, but what she's seeing right now looks like a man... A man in pain. Curious, she sits next to him.
Selene: "Toby?"
Toby: "Hey Selene."
The human picks up a plastic cup and takes a long drink.
Selene: "You don't look so good."
Toby: "Same could be said about you... No offense. P-please excuse me, I'm drunk and I've got a headache. F*ckin'... I-I forgot what I was tryin'a say, I'm just going through some sh*t. Excuse my French."
Selene giggled at that phrase, her face gaining a light smile. For someone who cursed a lot, Toby never did apologize for it. At least not to everyone.
Selene: "Your fine."
Toby: "And you're cu- No, don't start, damnit."
Selene: "Don't start with what?"
Toby throws the rum at a tree.
Toby: "If it's not from Cuba, it's utter sh*t!"
Selene: "Toby, what were you about to say?"
Toby: "I can't tell ya, it's a secret. Besides, you're Kit's gal-"
Selene: "Kit left me."
Selene and Toby go silent for a few long minutes.
Toby: "He's an ass for doing that."
Selene: "No, he's probably-"
Toby: "Don't you start with the lies, you'll end up like me. Trapped telling yourself that this is it. This is the end. You're gonna die and have nothing to worry about anymore. That next IED, that next artillery shell, that next whatever. You'll end up in a deep dark depression that's not being helped by that crushing feeling in your heart that reminds you that you should've talked to that girl in high school."
Selene: "But all your friends were guys, what girl did you want to-... I wouldn't happen to be that girl, would I?
Toby: "I now regret throwing the rum."
Selene: "Please tell me, Kit left me without saying anything and now one knows where he is. I-I feel so lonely without him that I don't know what to do. I-I loved I'm, but he-"
Toby pulls Selene into his arms and starts petting her head.
Toby: "Sh-sh-shush, he's not here right now and he's dumb for leaving you."
Selene: "I loved him. Without him I feel so unloved."
Toby: "You should't, there's others out there who don't like seeing you sad. They like you when you're happy and beautiful... Can I still blame the rum for that?"
Selene's eyes go wide at what Toby said, but his petting is so relaxing... And calming. And when he scratches behind her ear... She begins to purr in the human's warm arms. She feels safe.
Toby: "I'm being weird, aren't I."
Toby tries to remove his hand but Selene stops him.
Selene: "Don't, please."
Toby pulls Selene closer to his lap.
Toby: "... You know, you're really acting adorable right now. I seriously don't know what could make Kit possibly not want you."
Selene would say something back, but she's too comfortable to say anything. She doesn't know why but this feels right. Being in the arms of the only human she's ever known...
She has no idea what the future holds for her.
