Hey there! I don't usually comment on things (I'm one of those quiet lurker types), but after the last couple submissions, I feel the need to say that you pull off melancholy quite well. It's not a tenor I usually see you dabble in, but it definitely works.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. You've said before that you deal with depression and anxiety, so you know what they look/feel like. Given that these last two were commissions, I'd be curious to know what your own melancholy looks like, and if working on this sort of material affects you at all or if you can stay largely indifferent.

Semi serious comment but, smoking pot is such a terrible idea when you're feeling down, I found. Unless you have something to distract you big time, such as a great TV show or good friends. Weed can make you both nervous and also super self-critical, and that's bad when you're already feeling glum. I know that if I get baked tonight I'll twist myself into knots.
Maybe some people have different experiences. But in my opinion, comfort food and some good stand-up comedy or something will do you better when you feel like shit. Basically, whether you smoke weed or not, or decide to drink, find a way to make yourself laugh first and keep things positive. It helps the most.
