Cute little guy! Reminds me an awful lot of myself at that age, I loved building and taking things apart. Best presents ever were either something to dismantle and scavenge bits out of, or a big box of parts to build from. Later on, things got more interesting, when I'd get something broken and fix it.
I know the feeling about life suddenly going bonkers. I work two jobs, and January through April is the absurd busy time of year for both of them.
