Guess I'm just in a Sonic Team kinda mood, also obligatory reference out of the way. Next on our list it’s the Blue Blur himself in a... not so blue hue! I suppose this was an inevitable entry. Pretty sure I’ve drawn Sonic material enough to make sure everyone knows I enjoy the series, despite it’s many ups and downs throughout the years a despite constant downfalls, the needle mouse continues to be a favorite of mine and yet somehow in all that time I’ve never once drawn Sonic in his super form.(or something that isn't smut...) So I figured I’d change that!
Sonic is a curious case, especially for me. It seems that for every incarnation of him that the world hates, I enjoy and for every incarnation the world loves, I hate; for the most part! It just further proves how much the poor hedgehog can’t win these days. The duality of his own series splits him so down the middle and I say ‘who cares?’ Pick the version you like and enjoy it. Stop shitting all over the other forms that someone else likes... well, unless it’s Sonic ‘06. That you can hate on!
While I have less hate for Sonic then most currently, I DID have to place him somewhat low as well, honestly, he’s always been beaten out by his secondary characters for me. Don’t get me wrong, I like Sonic, I enjoy his design and persona but my heart always belongs to Knuckles, so he’s getting a low place for that! (Also he placed today because a friend is doing a Sonic panel at a convention today, but that’s another story!)
