"Come on, Sonic... let's get back to my place!"
A young female hedgehog, named Kira, looks back as she runs towards her house. Behind her was a blue-furred hedgehog, named Sonic, who was running surprisingly slow behind his friend. He pants a bit as he struggles to keep up.
"Yeah, I'm coming!"
Kira lowers her ears, noticing that Sonic was slower than usual. She stops and turns back to Sonic, watching as he stops also. She then walks over to him and places a hand on his shoulder.
"Sonic, what's wrong? You're never this slow..."
The blue-furred male makes a stern expression and crosses his arms, trying to hide the fact that something was wrong with him.
"M-me? Slow?! No way!!"
"Sonic..."
Sonic soon sighs in defeat as he uncrosses his arms.
"Fine... my ankle's still screwed up from the fight."
Kira lowers her ears as she kneels down and gently places a hand on his ankle.
"Will you be alright to run the rest of the way? Do you want me to carry you?"
Sonic, who didn't want Kira to carry him, despite his injury, crosses his arms again and nods his head, smirking a bit.
"Sure I will! You're forgetting who you're talking to..."
Kira smirks a bit and shakes her head as she begins to run again, a bit slower this time. Sonic soon begins to run also and continues to smirk as he catches up to Kira and runs beside her.

A short while later, Sonic loses concentration and soon ends up tripping over a large rock. He falls to the ground and yells in pain as he grips onto his ankle. Kira, who had notice Sonic fall to ground, gasps as she stops and runs back over to him.
She kneels down beside him and gently places a hand on his ankle. Sonic yells out in pain again and Kira lowers her ears.
"Sonic, your ankle... it's getting a lot worse. Let me carry you!"
Sonic grits his teeth as he looks up at Kira. He smiles a bit as he attempts to cover his injury.
"N-no, it's nothing!"
Kira sighs a bit as Sonic begins to attempt to stand up. Kira gently pulls on his arm, causing him to sit back on the ground.
"Sonic, please! Don't be so stubborn... you're really hurt."
Sonic sighs and soon blushes as Kira lifts him up.
"W-what are you doing?!"
Kira smiles a bit from Sonic's blush and begins to run, holding Sonic in her arms.
"You can't walk on a broken ankle, Sonic. I'm gonna get you back to my place so I can check your ankle..."
Sonic sighs in defeat as he crosses his arms and mutters to himself.
"Can't you run a bit faster at least?"
Kira sighs as she talks in an annoyed tone.
"Sonic, I can't run as fast as you... I'm going as fast as I can."

A little while later, Sonic blushes a bit as he begins to fidget in Kira's arms. Kira sighs once again as she looks down at him.
"Please stop fidgeting, Sonic..."
Sonic continues to wriggle around as Kira struggles to hold onto him.
"I can't help it, ok? I need to go to the bathroom..."
"Oh... well, we're home now."
"Good."
Kira approaches the door to her home and enters before kicking the door closed behind her. She then places Sonic down and gasps as he begins to stumble towards the toilet cubicle. She watches as he struggles and runs over, helping him to get to the cubicle.
"Easy, Sonic... you have to be more careful on your ankle."
Sonic lowers his ears a bit as he heads into the cubicle. He looks back to Kira and blushes a bit as he smiles, nervously.
"A little privacy, please?"
Kira smirks a bit as she closes the door behind him.
"Alright you, don't get your scarf in a knot~"
Sonic mutters as he begins to relieve himself. Kira, who could hear Sonic muttering, giggles as she sits on her couch, waiting for him to finish.
A few minutes later, a flush is heard and Sonic emerges from the cubicle. Kira feels her ear twitch and looks over to Sonic before smiling and getting up. She gets up and walks over to him, helping him walk over to her couch.
Sonic grits his teeth as he begins to walk, feeling the pain flare up in his ankle after every step. Kira gently lays Sonic down on her couch and slides a pillow under his foot, keeping it elevated.
"Now you rest here..."
Sonic lowers his ears and begins to groan in pain as Kira removes his shoes and puts them on the ground.
"Ok, I'm just gonna have a closer look and take an x-ray, ok?"
The blue blur nods and lays his head back against the pillow behind his head. He then looks down and winces in pain as Kira unwraps his sports tape and pulls down his sock.
Kira winces as she notices a large bruise on Sonic's ankle. She then grabs her x-ray device and gently places it over Sonic's ankle. The blue blur continues to grit his teeth from the pain and watches as Kira removes the device and looks down at it. She then lowers her ears as she looks down at Sonic.
"It's definitely a broken ankle, I'm afraid..."
Sonic sighs in an annoyed fashion and looks up at Kira, placing his hands over his chest.
"How long do I have to stay here for?"
"... about 6 weeks."
Sonic groans as he leans his head back further into the pillow.
"Great..."
Kira smiles a bit as she takes out a small tub of cream. She removes the lid and gently rubs some of the cream onto Sonic's bruise. Sonic yells out in pain and holds onto the couch below him. Kira lowers her ears as she gently runs a hand along Sonic's muzzle.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of you."
Sonic blushes as he looks up at Kira and watches as Kira soon clears her throat and looks away.
"I'm s-sorry, I didn't mean to..."
Sonic smirks a bit from having Kira's hand on his muzzle.
"It's ok... I appreciate the attention~"
Kira smiles as she takes out some bandages from the table beside her. She then begins to slowly wrap the bandages around Sonic's ankle, eventually forming a cast. Sonic continues to yell in pain as Kira gently lifted his foot. He then moves his head to the opposite direction and feels a pool of tears gather in his eyes.
Kira notices the tears and lowers her ears before gently running her hand along Sonic's muzzle once again. Sonic continues to look away, attempting to hide his tears.
"Hey, you're gonna be ok... I promise I'll be here for you."
Sonic looks at her and sniffs a bit as he rubs his nose with his finger.
"T-Thanks..."
Kira smiles at Sonic's sensitivity and soon gently puts his sock on over the top of his ankle bandage. Sonic winces a bit but soon smiles as Kira lays a blanket over him.
"That should keep you a bit warmer..."
"Thanks, Kira."
Kira smiles but soon makes a curious expression as she hears a small growling sound. She looks at Sonic and notices him blushing, with a hand on his belly. She giggles a bit as she sits down beside him.
"I'm guessing you're hungry?"
Sonic continues to blush from his belly rumble and looks away a bit.
"K-kinda... I haven't eaten much today."
Kira giggles a bit as she stands up from Sonic's bed and walks towards the kitchen door. She looks back at Sonic before entering.
"Don't worry, I'll cook up something for you~!"
Sonic smiles and watches as Kira walks into the kitchen. He then sighs a bit as he places his other hand on his belly. He lowers his ears a bit as he looks out of the window.
"I wish I could go for a run..."

About 20 mintues later, Sonic feels his ears perk up as he hears Kira walking out of the kitchen. He looks over to the door and soon wags his tail as he smells a familiar scent.
"Whoa! Kira, are those...?"
Kira smiles, shyly, as she walks into the room, holding a plate of homemade chili dogs. She places it onto the table next to Sonic and puts her hands behind her back.
"Y-yes... I wanted to make you some chili dogs."
Sonic grins as he picks one up and sniffs it. He makes a small 'mmm' sound before looking up at Kira, smirking a bit.
"Aww... well, that's really sweet~"
Kira continues to blush as Sonic begins to take a bite out of the chili dog. He chews it and wags his tail, rapidly, before swallowing.
"Whoa! This is the best chili dog I've ever tasted~!"
Kira smiles and wags her tail a bit.
"R-really?"
"Yeah! They're extra cheesy, I love 'em cheesy~!"
Kira giggles a bit and sits down next to Sonic.
"Thanks for the compliment... I made them to make you feel better."
Sonic smiles up at Kira as he continues to munch on the chili dog.
"Well, it's definitely working! I already feel better~!"
Kira giggles andwatches as Sonic continues to eat the chili dogs. She soon gasps and places a hand on her belly as it lets out a loud growling sound and looks up at Sonic as he chuckles.
"Sounds like you're hungry too! How about we share 'em?"
"A-are you sure? I did make them for you, after all..."
"It's fine, besides you made them so I think it's only fair that you have some too..."
Kira smiles sweetly and takes one of the chili dogs before taking a bite out of it. She feels her tail wagging from the satisfying taste and makes a small 'mmm' sound also.
Sonic chuckles from her sound and happily continues to munch the chili dogs with Kira.

A few minutes later, Sonic and Kira both, subconsciously, reach for the last chili dog, only to have their hands touch one another's. They both look up at each other and blush, staring into each other's eyes. A few seconds later, both hedgehogs move their hands away and look away from one another.
Kira blushes and picks up the chili dog, holding it out to Sonic.
"H-here, you can have it..."
Sonic, who was still blushing, takes the chili dog and looks down at it. He then smirks a bit and places it back onto the plate, before leaning in closer to Kira. He then whispers into her ear.
"I'd rather have you, Kira~"
Kira makes a confused expression but soon gasps and opens her eyes widely as Sonic gently places his lips against hers. Kira moans a bit and returns the kiss, feeling a heat coming from her muzzle.
Sonic, who was very into the kiss, wags his tail and soon pulls away, allowing the two to breathe. Kira pants a bit and looks up at Sonic, blushing a dark red.
"S-Sonic... I had no idea that you..."
Sonic smiles and gently holds Kira's hands into his own.
"I always have, Kira."
Kira smiles softly and wags her tail as she wraps her arms around Sonic's neck, giving him a hug.
"Oh Sonic... I've always loved you too."
