During one of their missions in a temple on Slowpoke Isle, Knuckles and Maia become trapped and are forced to stay with each other until Sonic and the others come to their rescue. During the mission, Maia becomes upset since she suffers a lot from claustrophobia. Knuckles distracts her from it by making jokes and making her giggle. The two sit near one another and Knuckles says that he has something to tell Maia. Maia listens as Knuckles struggles to admit his true feelings for her. He finally admits his feelings and Maia returns the favour...

And yes, this is another redraw, this time from the episode "Blackout" x3 The original screenshot was of Sticks being annoyed with Knuckles so I thought I'd change the tone a bit ;P
