Bonk's redesign caught my eye: he's pretty cute, and he's toony, so there's no musculature to sculpt, so there's less modeling grunt work. Nevertheless, this little guy posed some interesting topology challenges, what with the hood (which forced a somewhat unusual edge loop on the head mesh) and the wings (high mesh detail), and also because I chose to do the handpads with topology instead of a map (not the best idea, in retrospect). Turns out I was more familiar with UV mapping than I gave myself credit for, since applying his tummy color was a breeze.
I posed him into the character sheet reference poses as a double-check, but thankfully I didn't need to make any changes post-hoc. I figured I'd spice up the turntable render with those poses and a little butt and wing shake since Bonk seems to be trying to show 'em off.
I tried some methods of furring him, but none of them looked right. He's drawn pretty iconically, so real fur didn't look quite right, and I'm nowhere near as good at sculptey-style fur as https://www.furaffinity.net/user/racush, so I left him smooth, as you might see in a platformer or something.
