My take on it.

Panel 1:

Alfred: "For someone at a party, you don't look very happy."
April: "I'm such an idiot."

Panel 2:

Alfred: "What makes you say that?"

Panel 3:

April: "Well, I know she has no interest in me - I don't know why I keep trying."

Panel 4:

Alfred: "I know you can't push someone to love you..."

Panel 5:

Alfred: "... but to me, she seems to like you. I think she just got distracted by that fan, that's all."

I really like this translation. I'm surprised everyone else missed that simple turn-of-phrase

"You know, you can't make someone love you..."

"You know," "Ya' know," "Y'know," it is quite common in relaxed English.

I could've changed the phrasing more, but that's more choice of words, not correct grammar.

English is confusing, you could literally have five sentences with absolutely no words shared between them, and they all say the exact same thing.
Or in this instance, only a few words shared between them.

English is hard, someone could write several phrases that have no common elements to each other, and they have a similar meaning.

English is difficult, I would compose a few words, ones I didn't use much, if at all, in other thoughts, and I end up with a synonymous message.

Sorry.  But you see what I mean?  There's places you could change a word for personal preference.  There's a reason the English Thesaurus is the size of an English Dictionary.
