Murana had horrible nightmares nearly every night. Waking up screaming at the atrocities that assaulted her mind every time she went to sleep, of the horrible things done to her and her young sibling, now since dead. Not until she adopted her first son, Steven, who opted to sleep on her legs and feet did the nightmares begin to subside. Marrying Wolford helped even more as he held her during the night. Finally, with her second husband, Ronald, the otter, having him sleep on her chest was such an intense form of comfort that she never had nightmares again the entire time they were together.

NOTE: This romantic relationship is no longer canon to Murana's story. Ron stays her secretary and Murana stays his boss. They do not get involved.

I had a scary dream when I was 5 years old (in 1959).

I dreamed that on a cold clear night, a C-123 transport plane (like the one on Con Air) flew over the house about a half of a mile up. Those were one of my favorite planes when I was a kid.

It was one of those cold nights when you see the stars really well.

These links show a C-123.

The one in my dream was aluminum colour, not camouflage.

I dreamed as the plane flew overhead, it made that exact engine sound a C-123 always made, like what is in the links I have posted...The C-123 engine sound was a distinct sound.
I dreamed that I was standing at the back door of our house (where the kitchen was) watching it go by in the night sky...
...Then suddenly, there was a large explosion aboard the airplane. .Then the plane broke up into large pieces in flight as it went overhead....Because of the speed of the plane, the inertia carried the pieces of the plane well past our house.
While still a half a mile up, the fuselage also broke up into sections and I can see a few men falling out of the pieces of the plane.
In one of the broken sections of the fuselage, the plane's interior lights were still on for a few seconds before they blinked out...You were barely able to see into that piece of plane from where you stood on the ground.
It got really eerie and spooky when a big piece of one of the wings went falling in flames with one of the plane's engines still attached to it and still running. The engine still attached to that big piece of wing continued to run at high RPM (with the fuel it still had left in the fuel system), making that distinct C-123 engine sound, as it and the piece of wing trailed bright flames in the night sky on it's way down (the exact tone in this video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w68CBf6BiL8 from footage 0:50 thru 1:03 was how I dreamed that engine sounded for the entire 15 seconds or more it took for it to fall all the way the ground)...By then, pieces of the plane were crashing to the ground everywhere a mile away due south of the house, some pieces loudly exploding into huge bright blazes of fire lighting up the night (including the wing section with the running engine) upon impact with the ground.

I dreamed that I ducked back into the house and ran into the living room, hollering, "MOM! DAD! A PLANE IS CRASHIN'! A PLANE IS CRASHIN'!"...That's when I awoke from that dream.

I do remember that in that dream, I was hoping that none of the large pieces of that plane were falling on homes with families sleeping in them, or down on someone.
