The oldest member of my former pack was a big fan of water. He was always happy, for example, when he saw me getting into my swim trunks because he knew it was time for a bath, so he would go into the bathroom and wait at the shower for me to get things started. He was very happy and full of energy when I was done and trying to dry him. During the last year of his life, before his bad hips failed totally, we had a big rainstorm one day and I ran to the back door where he was very-much waiting and got him out in the back yard rain as fast as I could. When the rain was over I went and got him to dry him off to get back in the house. He was so wet his fur was matted, and he was smiling for ear to ear with his tongue out, like Sammy here but more so. He was so happy and proud of himself: "Look at me, Daddy! I got WET!"
