Lyrics are taken from the (admittedly poorly translated) song, Que Sera Sera. It brings back memories to me, and makes me sad, and I couldn't help but think of little Eve.

Her Master allows her some freedom, she can play with her sister, she gets a small allowance, she learned to read (among other more slave-oriented duties) at her Masters sponsorship... she can still be happy in her cruel world with her nice Master~

I'll admit part of that is my own issues coming to the fore. I have problems, attachment issues, so much that I'd say what comes out of my writing in the 'desire to never lose anyone' ends up being some serious nightmare fuel.
Part of me hopes some day she gets to feel the joy of having both her mother and her Master in her life, but then that's up to the writer in the end isn't it?
Art isn't just about drawing positive emotional responses. It's pretty clear what you were going for here, and by god did you pull it off. In the end, that is the mark of not only talent but skill.

Okay, this is just heart-breaking. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the art you post of Eve and her (mis)adventures, and the world you've built up is really interesting. But this is a stark reminder that she is a slave and that, no matter how well she might be cared for, most of the time, the world she lives in is quite a brutal one. Not unlike our own, more's the pity. It makes me wonder what became of her mother, though I dread to know the answer, and it makes me wonder what her future will really hold. If she'll ever be really happy, and able to choose her own life. But again, I don't mean this as criticism, rather I think it's a testament the power of the world and the characters you've created that this affects me so much, and for all that it's such a sad piece, I think that, in its way, it's also one of the most beautiful things you've ever posted.

I agree about said. I feel this comic has effected me more then any other posted work on this site. It's crazy that eve's world just started out as simple wank material, then boom it has become an emotional epic with impressive depth and a well built world. It's porn and the lord of the rings had a baby.

Thanks, Eve has become my favorite character and has an interesting fantasy world to put her in. I'm glad others find it more interesting than just porn~ but that's a part of it, for sure~

I did a Google translate of the phrase, Que sera sera (ever since I had first heard the song I had always wondered what that phrase meant) and the translation wasn't too far off from what is said. It actually translated into, "What will be, will be." Likely when the song was written, the writers added an extra note in the music and, when it didn't make sense to slur what into two notes, added the -ever to what. It still means basically the same thing just instead of saying, "What will be, will be"; it says, "Whatever will be, will be." Sorry if I sound like I'm nitpicking. It's just that your statement reminded me that I had always wondered what Que sera, sera meant.
