After the journal I posted, I didn't see too many other options that looked definitively better than an iPad Pro, so I got one (and the $99 dollar stylus, I mean, "pencil"~).

Here's the first thing I drew as I screwed around with it for the first time. I think it'll work... Eve seems to like it-

Does it work just as well as an actual drawing tablet for arts? been looking for a nice cheap alternative myself

I've just spent a few hours today with it, I could give you a better recommendation after a few weeks.
You can also look up on YouTube videos like "iPad Pro versus Cintique" or "iPad Pro versus Surface Pro" like I did to get some artists' impressions about the iPad Pro.

I liked that it was simple, with an OS I don't have to mess with like I do with Windows 10. The app that was recommended to me was Procreate, which is $6 on the App Store, but it's working pretty good and lets you play with brushes. It can send files to Google Drive app too, so getting the stuff off the iPad is easy too, and can export as PNGs, JPGs, PSDs and some more, I just use PSDs.

Remind me in a few weeks if you truely want my impressions after I use it more-

How's the palm rejection Sloss?

It comes with that setting off. After a lot of weird taps/lines, I found the setting to turn it on, and it nearly never  happends. I think I'll get better at it, once it was on, I drew for at least another hour and it thought my palm was my finger maybe once.

That's not so bad. I'm still on the fence about getting the ipad pro vs the lenovo yoga book. The lenovo yoga book uses a 2048 pressure lvl graphic tablet that doubles as a keyboard and comes in android 6.1 or windows 10 for $500-550. I think the ipad pro would be the better choice but for the pocket book the lenovo might be a good entry level device for being on the go.

Sounds like a decent choice. I wanted easy, so I went with iOS.

I'm pretty sure I'll be going ipad pro 9.7in model. Cheaper installment plan and easy to pay off.
