Which makes this manga quite funny btw. Ok. Here we have the setting that there is a girl in love with a guy and the guy mistakes a childhood friendship relationship with love for his family. Ok. They did live together for a long time. So of course it can be compared to stepbrother-stepsister aswell. That is the scenario which Applejack forgot. And then again Spike was in love for long time with Rarity aswell. I still think the fillys need some professional help.

well it's not so much convincing Spike to love Twilight, but trying to get him to see that he loves her in a way that wouldn't be fitting for a "brother" to love his "sister" but a love that 2 close friends develop for one another.

yyyaaayyy! quest route change successful!!! I think what they should do is casually ask Spike what he thought of Twilight growing up and try to see if they can get him to slip up and say something a "brother" wouldn't say about their "sister. and try to make Spike see that they aren't actually family. this is gonna be really tough to get a happy ending to this quest @___@ those two should also really ask AJ for advise or if she knows who can help them best with getting Spike and Twilight together to talk and to get Spike to re-explore his thoughts and feelings on Twilight.
