I find it depends on the family members in question. I'm already the black sheep of my family anyway so I stopped caring what they think about my interests long before now. So when my mother kept asking about my relationships I told her I was getting a fursuit for my wedding ceremony (a lie), and now she doesn't ask about my relationships anymore.

Truth be told, they thought I was some kind of sick degenerate because they immediately link furry with bestiality. From then on in whenever my mother asked about my relationships it would always be followed up with "its not a dog is it?..." but honestly, their opinions of me really mean nothing because they really aren't a close knit family, and they aren't really all that supportive or helpful in any way.

Hahahaha, when someone asks me what i draw i say "porn" with a completely straight face, on occasion people ask to see (under 30's tend to ask to see some) that's when i grab my sketchbook... i tend to do commissions and work in public, i've drawn porn in coffee shops way too many times lol
