I've only seen one machine personally that didn't run it at 60fps, but the underlying libraries used mean that Anubis's requirements are higher than its appearance would indicate. More along the lines of the baseline for Minecraft. I think in general, older machines would be GPU bound, though, so disabling the CRT effect and reducing your window scale would probably help.

Something is definitely sideways, then. The game should have no problems running at full speed on that system. Only thing I can think of offhand that would cause slowdown on a system like that is if the driver was somehow forcing OpenGL into software mode. I assume you're just using the latest/normal nvidia drivers?

Hey ive been playing ur latest version and its really good but because the controls (when i use my keybored as i dont have a controler i can hook up) are not very responsive i tend to get dicked over, my wifi is out because comcast screwed up and its the only game i have thats not only not from steam but isnt incredibly boring its really hard in times i need to act quick so my thought you could maybe add an equalizer or a way to tone down the annoyences of the hornets as ive tried many times to hit tbem but the controls dont act fast enough, though it could just be im using a wireless keyboard, also a map of tbe overworld would be helpful especialy in game even if itll only show rooms u have been to

I just finished Demo 2 and while I still enjoyed it... I really have to say that I feel the level design was weaker. There were places that felt like you guys were intentionally trying to mess with the player, and while that can work with something that uses quick re-spawns like 1001 spikes, here I can loose several minutes of progress just because someone felt like being cheeky. I don't think this game does well with challenges based entirely on execution. The more thought out puzzly rooms felt much nicer in the 1st demo.

this game is really nice.... but its really hard. I'm not complaining but Anubis is so squishy and on some of the parts its like impossible to not take damage. for example right before the bomb and the fire thing. still cant seem to get them because the keyboard commands don't react fast enough. and the people throwing javelins and the statues shooting stuff keep fucking me over cause I cant kill them fast enough. but anyways great game definitely going to support it. just wish there was an easy mode XD

It's not bad, but it needs some work, particularly in the controls and physics department. 1)Momentum needs to be maintained when walking off a ledge; you shouldn't come to a dead stop and drop like a rock. Aditionally, there is a very bad delay for gaining forward momentum when jumping while standing still.
2)Either get rid of the shield in the character sprite, or actually let it block the near-unavoidable missiles that get fire through walls in some of the treasure rooms.
3)if the exp bar is going to be a health re-fill it needs to fill up at least 10x quicker. As it stands, it's totally worthless with the amount of unavoidable damage that gets thrown at you.
4)the entrance to a treasure room or complicated puzzle room should be a safe zone; you shouldn't have to be continuously dodging missiles from unkillable enemies (some of which fire through walls) as soon as you walk into a room that requires you to pull or a perfectly times series of jumps with the game's currently dodgy jump mechanics. The map, feather, and several of the keys in the bomb dungeon come to mind as rooms that need severe re-works for fairness.

Wow, this is fantastic! I just finished the demo 100% after roaming for hours looking for the damn sandals that I somehow missed (unfortunate that, of all the items I could've missed, it was the one that allows me to roam faster =P).
I'm a sucker for Metroidvanias and I loved La-Mulana, so this got me hooked right away. I find it funny how people are complaining about the difficulty and the jump controls, even though the game is supposed to have that retro-hardcore feel. For me you got that just right.
The only thing I found annoying was the randomness in certain parts, mostly the falling boulders during the third boss. I just fought him again and again until the RNG was kind enough to keep the boulders away from me. To be honest, most of the boss battles felt like that - just attack non-stop and hope for the best. I'd like more interesting boss battles in the final game.

This game is very fun to play, even if there's some points where it can get frustrating. Even if cub art isn't my thing, I can really appreciate the adult content when it's so very well animated! The only issue I have with the adult visual novels is that they don't flow very well with after the boss combat and I think I prefer the SFW visual novels from a narrative stance. Maybe if there was more scenes that transition to the sex and after collecting the bosses' essence and "judging" them? Still, I'll take my animated gay porn where I can get it!
I also appreciate the effort to include SFW visuals novels rather than just cutting them out all together which would have been the easier thing to do. The only other thing I have an issue with is the title. It makes sense in the NSFW version but is there going to be a titular Buried Bone in the final product that would make more sense in the SFW version? As I said before this is a nice game. It's quite good actually, but: while I understand that some people like their game to be hard I think it might be a good idea to add options to make it easier for less experienced/more casual players. Perhaps things suchs as more health, opportunities to restore health and more safe points are worth considering? Having to start over and over again can get frustrating.
