#18: Shedinja
"Shedinja is a peculiar Pokémon. It seems to appear unsought in a Poké Ball after a Nincada evolves. This bizarre Pokémon is entirely immobile - it doesn't even breathe. In fact, its body appears to be merely a hollow shell. It is believed that this Pokémon will steal the spirit of anyone peering into its hollow body from its back."

Oh, Shedinja, what a interesting beast you are. While it's pretty much purely a gimmick, it's one I've always fell for. It's a cool concept in pretty much every way and I commend anyone that uses it well. I've tried and never quite succeeded, all the same I enjoy this Pokemon for the sheer curiosity of it, even if it's yet another Pokedex entry that's full of shit! I have looked straight into the back of Shedinja countless times and to my knowledge my soul was never torn out of me... unless of course I didn't have one to begin with. That's a distinct possibility. Not really sure what possessed me to go really spiritual with this one, maybe just because it has a halo naturally or that it's not the route I went with anything else in this countdown and it honestly gives it a slight disturbing edge by doing so. All in all I'm really happy with this.
