The idea behind this is my character as an artist painting one of the squirrels I (he) likes to draw. Like a sculptor inside the paper. Haven't really seen many folks in the furry community purposely break the illusion much, like a drawing reffering to itself as a drawing, but there you go.

I always thought the idea of a drawing... drawing was pretty fun. :>

Certainly you're schooled enough, to recall the classic painting of the sculptor embracing his statue of the nude woman, who has come to life to hug him back.

Oh, man, that poem is awesome and so is the pic. I love poems and classical mythology, in case you haven't noticed. Do you know if anyone's done a read of it?

Also, I really admire Emily Short for everything she's accomplished. Along with Anna Anthropy, she's one of the main indie game developers that I aspire to be like.

I also can program in Inform, I just ... want a fusion of that with Ren'Py without the clunky GlulX (sp?) interface and programming...

Héhé it remind my of a phrase Michael Angelo the Sixtine Chapel painter has told... He was also know for his Marble scupture... He said one day (about a sculpture he made) I didn't made this... it was already there.... I only took off the excess marble... Cute li'l sketch Looq

Ah...that makes me think about the reduction of possibilities in the art process.
I've heard or read somewhere that art alway starts off as something general and gets more and more specific as you keep working on it. Heh...it makes me think....maybe sketching is just trimming off all those "what if" things floating around in the quantum universe ^.^ Although sometimes you do have a really specific idea to begin with and work towards it, other times it's like a completely blank canvas and you grow stuff on it (those are usually the funnest times XD).
