Our first videogame design,  a developer contacted me some days ago due problems with his previous 3d artist.. it was all an experience since we never worked on low poly models (zbrush average models have a dozen of millions of polygons,  this one have only 3k) .. videogames require low poly count because small processors like the ones of cell phones are not that powerful. also they need memory for background and the game itself, so videogame require efficient polygons distribution.. and I learned a lot after this commission

thats why racing games were so popular in the early days of rendered games. cars being 50-150 polys was common

It's interesting that today, 3000 polygons is Low Poly... Back in the Playstation days, 200 polygons for a single character was high...

For it being low poly (I have no real understanding of polygon count other than appearances and what I learned from "Blast Processing") it still has quite a bit of good looking detail on him.
