Chapter 1: Bootz vs Cream
As we last last left off, our feline protagonist had just taken a warp ring to where he had thought was Mobius in his time, completely unaware that the ring he had taken was not only flawed, but had taken him to a completely different place and time all together. But I'm getting a bit ahead, why don't we check back up on our hero?
"Woah! ... I swear I can never get used to ... that ... " the calico feline states aloud noticing something odd right off the bat, looking all around him momentarily. " ... Somethin's off ... there's normally a city here ... right where I'm supposed to be sta-" before he could finish he immediately noticed that he was falling in mid-air, the ground below him coming closer and closer. " ... Well I don't remember the city bein' all the way down ... it probably took me to a different spot all together ... not too bad. But getting back to the matter at hand ... Son Of a Biiiiiiiiitch!!" the calico yelled out, falling faster and faster to the ground having no idea where he would land. But speaking of, lets see whats going on below shall we?
We then cut to see an innocent little rabbit girl in a grassy green field, no older than seven or eight years of age picking flowers from a random spot, a different change of scenery don't you think? But not to far behind, a strange pair were hiding behind the bushes not to far off from the young rabbit but not to close to where she would notice.
"Oooo ... such a cute little bunny ... " one of the voices whispered out, the voice belonging to a green duck with blue eyes wearing a red ascot, white gloves and red and white shoes observing the bunny. "Why do we gotta give her to the boss?" he asks looking to his accomplice, his accomplice being a yellow/white furred polar bear wearing a red toque, brown gloves, a green scarf and brown shoes. "He'll just be mean to 'er"
"Yeesh ... as if you and shiny objects weren't bad enough," the polar bear said as he shook his head. "Look Bean, the sooner we get that li'l rabbit the sooner we can get paid. Then you'll be able to get more shinies," he says as he awaits his accomplice's reaction, the duck thinking for a moment.
"Hmmm ... cute li'l bunny ... a truck full o' shinies ... choices ... " he ponders aloud as the polar bear just facepalms, growling slightly before looking back to their target as the green duck looked at the polar bear once more. "Fine ... I'll go get the bunny," he then says as he comes from the bushes, creeping up slowly and quietly behind the young bunny. "Hehehee ... easy does it little bunny ... " he says with a smirk as he gets closer behind the little bunny just about to grab her before hearing a noise, the duck blinking before looking up seeing a familiar falling feline come closer. "Oooo ... flying kitty!" he calls out, the "flying kitty" soon coming closer before colliding head first with the green duck, the feline bouncing off of his head and falling right on top of the duck softening the already hard impact of the feline's fall. The polar bear only being able to watch as his jaw nearly dropped watching the scene, staying behind the bushes trying his best not to get caught.
All the while the bunny blinks as she soon turns around, gasping as he notices the fallen feline walking over to him curious as can be as her chao friend then floating up behind her also observing the feline. "He doesn't look good ... how'd he get here in the first place ... ?" she asks her floating companion, completely oblivious of the events taking place behind the scenes as she pokes the fallen feline. "You don't think he's ... " she starts out before the feline's ear twitches, his eyes slowly starting to open before groaning in pain, then hissing as he grabbed his head with his uncasted hand.
"Gah! ... What ... what hit me ... ? Am I dead ... ?" the feline says aloud before leaning up slightly, looking at the flowerbed he was sitting in. "Huh ... nice decorations ... don't suppose there's anyone else other than me is there ... ?" he asks aloud before leaning back into the flowerbed, his eyes closed with a sigh. "Guess not ... "
"Chao ... "
"Eh?" the feline then sat back up, looking around for whatever had made that sound. The feline then turning to the bunny and chao, the feline raising a brow curiously as he reached out and poked at the blue creature. " ... Huh ... well I guess I'm not the only one ... well if this is heaven or what not at least the scenery is nice," he commented as he then turned to the young bunny, the bunny tilting her head in confusion.
"What do you mean mister ... ?" she then asked, blinking as she looked to the feline, her chao hiding behind the bunny.
"Well, this is heaven right? There's no way that you, something so cute could exist," the feline states out bluntly, soon blinking as the bunny then blushes brightly. " ... What ... ?"
" ... Y- ... you think I'm cute ... ?" the bunny then asks, twiddling with her fingers a slight bit as her chao starts to growl a bit.
"Well yeah, anyway what part of heaven is this? I don't know my-" the feline starts out before getting immediately interrupted by the chao, shooting itself directly for the feline's head causing him to fall back. "Gah! The hell?!"
The bunny gasps and then looks angrily at her chao. "Cheese! That wasn't nice!" she says sternly as her chao pouts a slight bit, the feline getting up slowly with a slightly bloody nose.
" ... Huh ... well I think this is how I know I'm not dead ... strangely enough ... but just to recap ... did I just get bitch-slapped by a ... whatever that thing is ... ?" the feline comments aloud as he wipes his nose with his arm, the bunny soon coming over pulling out a hankerchief and holding it to his nose.
"Chao, that's what they're called ... and what's a bitch-slap?" the bunny asks the feline as he holds his head back, the feline blinking and blushing soon realizing that he wasn't dead and that she was indeed a little girl.
"Uhhhhh ..... something you won't wanna experience till your older ... like 18 ... better yet you don't wanna experience it, let alone know what it is period ... " the feline then answers getting up and holding the hankerchief up to his nose. " ... Where am I anyway ... ?" he asks as he looks around raising an eyebrow. "This ... doesn't look like the floating island or anything I've seen ... "
The bunny then tilts her head again before offering her hand to help the feline on his feet. "This is New Mobotropolis ... your not from here are you mister?"
As the feline gets to his feet, he dusts himself off kneeling down to the bunny's height. "Umm ... nope ... no where near here ... and ya don't gotta call me mister, kiddo, makes me feel older than I am," he says jokingly as he pokes her nose gently and teasingly causing her to giggle.
"Well then what IS your name, mister?" she then asks poking the feline back, the feline blushing as he thinks of his nickname.
"Umm ..... uhh ... Bootz ... " the feline says with a small blush, clearing his throat a bit as he saw the bunny giggling a bit. "Yeah I know ... silly name, right?"
"Actually ... I think it's kinda cute ... " she says giggling more as Bootz blushed brightly. "Mine's Cream, nice to meet you," she then says bowing politely to the feline.
"Nice ta meet ya ... and I never heard that one before ... " Bootz says blushing a slight bit, looking around. "Ummm ... so it's just you out by yourself?"
"Nope, I have Cheese with me to protect me," Cream then answers as her chao floats around Cream, the bunny smiling as he looks to the feline.
"Well ... considering what he can do ... I'm not surprised at all ... " the feline comments as he looks about, standing up slowly as he dusts himself off a bit. "Well, I'm guessin' yer mom, assumin' ya' have one, is lookin' for ya'."
Cream then thought, looking around, twiddling with her fingers a slight bit. "Well ... it is getting late ... " she then says shyly as Cheese gives Bootz an angry look, almost growling as he stares down the feline.
"Well, if you want I can take ya' home and make sure ya' get home safe ... and I think your chao friend is 'stink eyin'' me ... " the feline says clearing his throat as he looks at the chao and then back at the bunny. "Well anyway, you'll have to lead the way if you would be so kind."
"Hehee, of course. Follow me, c'mon Cheese," Cream giggled as she made her way ahead, the chao chirping, so to speek, happilly as it followed the bunny. Bootz watched the two and took one last look around the area.
" ... Hmmm ... don't see too many flowers like these back home ... then again ... you don't see too many flowers period back home ... " Bootz said to himself aloud before rubbing the back of his head, hissing a slight bit. "Gahh ... just what the hell did I land on- ..... Oh ... shhhit ... " he then says observing the green duck, kneeling down and poking him slightly as he sees him groan in pain, twitching a bit in agony. "Umm ... eheh ... I was never here ... " he then says running trying to catch up to Cream, as soon as he left, the polar bear from earlier running out and picking his semi-flattened comrade off the ground.
"Uuugh ... flying kitty ... is very heavy ... and sorta tastes like metal ... eheh ... ow ... " the duck says as the polar bear growls watching as Bootz runs out of sight behind the bunny.
" ... Just who IS he ... ?" the bear grunted under his breath, soon carying the duck over his back heading out of sight himself as Cream and Bootz went on their way.
Getting back to our hero, Bootz kept looking around as he followed the bunny, looking around with child-like interest as he noticed the lush green trees and clear streams of water. Cream then noticed the feline's interest and giggled a bit, the giggling catching his attention. "What's so funny?"
"You don't see too many trees do you?" Cream asks, hitting it right on the head as Bootz chuckles with a small blush.
"Heh, you're right on that, actually ... not many trees, flowers or anything ... you'll have to forgive me if this all seems surreal to me," Bootz answers with a slight blush as he sees a house within short walking distance from them, the bunny soon knocking on the door.
"It's ok ... umm ... what's 'surreal' mean ... ?" the bunny asks as he looks to the feline, her head tilted cutely with curiosity written on her face.
Bootz blinks to the bunny and smiles a slight bit, with a shrug. "It means something that your not used to seeing or being around, in my case I'm not used to being around such a beautiful and lush environment," the feline then answers noticing the door opening, only to be greeted by an older and somewhat middle-aged rabbit, the rabbit greeting Cream and Bootz with a warm smile causing our hero to blush brightly.
"Welcome home, Creamy," the older rabbit greets the young bunny, giving her a warm and loving hug before looking to the feline. "Who's your friend, dear?"
"This is Bootz, I just met him today. He's really nice, mommy, he walked me home," Cream explained with a bright smile, the older rabbit smiling with her patting her head gently.
"Well, that's nice, do you know your way around New Mobotropolis by any chance young man?" the rabbit then asked as Bootz, the feline blinking and shaking his head as he had been unsure what to say. "Ah, I see. Well, would you like to stay here for a while 'till you get settled?"
"Uhh ... well ... I ... if it ain't too much trouble, I guess ... I don't wanna intrude in anything," the feline says modestly, scratching his head as the rabbit soon came over holding a hankerchief over his nose, his nose still bleeding from earlier.
"I insist, and your not intruding on anything, hun. Besides with your arm in that cast and you with no where to go, how do you expect to go about like this?" she then proposed, Bootz just blinking trying not to let his eyes wonder down her dress as he observed her ... curves. "Hmmm?"
"Umm ... well, when you put it like that ... " Bootz then nodded, still blushing as the female rabbit smiles. "And I guess having a guide wouldn't hurt ... "
The older rabbit then smiled pulling off her hankerchief before folding it up and putting it back in her pocket, looking back to Bootz. "Well ... I'll let you stay a while, but in return would you mind watching my daughter, Cream, as well? She seems to like you and since you were nice enough to walk her home ... well, only if you can that is," she then asked in a slightly bashful manner, the feline smiling and nodding to her request.
"Hey, it's not a problem, it's the least I could do since your letting me stay a while Mrs. ... ?" Bootz then stopped blinking a bit. "Ummm, my apologies, ma'am ... may I ask your name?" the feline then asks shyly.
"Vanilla, dear. Now come along both of you, Dinner's just about ready," she says with a smile, Cream following happilly before noticing Bootz just standing there.
"C'mon, Mr. Bootz, lets go," the bunny then says grabbing the feline's hand and pulling him along, the feline blinking as he gets pulled by the young bunny into the house.
"Huh ... well, why not ... ?" Bootz then thinks to himself, letting himself get pulled into their house left only to wonder just what else would happen all in the same day.
