Chapter 2: Bootz vs Amy
As we last left off, Bootz was introduced not too long ago to the Mother and daughter known as Cream and Vanilla, a female middle-aged rabbit and a young bunny. The young bunny whom Bootz had ran into not too long ago and had showed him the way to her's and her mother's house, our feline hero soon getting introduced to her mother, Vanilla whom welcomed the feline with open arms. Not too much time passed as Vanilla had made and served dinner which consisted of carrot stew and salad, the feline sighing as he pulls out a picture looking into it a bit. The feline's recent action catching Cream's eye, the young bunny walking over gettitng a look at the picture. The picture showing a yellow and white furred rabbit, her head being yellow, with sky light blue eyes and bangs in the front of her face going to a lighter shade of yellow; the rest of her fur being white. The rabbit wore a black tank top and a red skirt. The young bunny tilting her head as she got a good look at the picture without Bootz noticing before he looked up to the feline tugging on his vest a bit.
"Who's that?" The bunny simply asks as she keeps tugging on Bootz's vest a bit, the feline blinking as he turned to her sliding down the picture to where she wouldn't see.
"Hmm? Who's who?"
Cream then pointed to the picture the feline was trying to hide. "The girl in that photo? Is she someone special?" she then asks with an innocent smile, the feline blushing as he looks to the picture and smiles a bit.
"Heh ... yeah, someone very special .. " Bootz says leaning back into his seat, getting a happy and goofy smile on his face thinking of the rabbit in the picture. "She be my bunny, her name be Haruko."
The young bunny smiles and giggles looking at the picture. "She's very pretty, are you two close?" Cream then asks as her curiosity peaks as she then gets a better look at the picture, the feline blushing a bit brighter.
"Alright no need to badger him, sweetie," Vanilla then said as she placed the food on the table, smiling to both of them. "Where did you say you came from young man?" she then asks as the feline blinks looking down as he twiddled his fingers.
"Uhhhh ... nowhere in particular really, a place you've never heard of," the feline answers as he tastes a bit of the stew. "Mmm, this isn't bad. You must do this a lot huh?"
"Well when you're taking care of your little girl and her adorable chao, you tend to learn a few things you know?" The rabbit then says as she places the salad in front of the bunny and feline as she smiled to herself soon looking to Cream. "Oh Creamy, were you able to get a hold of your friend Ms. Rose?"
Cream then nodded happily, attempting to finish her food quickly. "Mhmm, she said she'd be on her way real soon, mommy!" she then answered happily as she continued to get through her meal as quickly as possible.
"Woah easy there, you don't wanna get a tummy ache do ya?" Bootz says patting the young bunny's back. "And Ms. Rose?"
"Oh, she's one of Creamy's friends. Her name is Amy Rose, a real sweetheart. I'm sure you'll get along with her just fine," Vanilla assured as she sat down and started on her plate, the feline raising an eyebrow and shrugging getting back to his meal.
Not too far off, a pink teenage hedgehog was making her way to a nearby house. The pink hedgehog wearing a red dress and red boots listening to her walkman as she made her way to the house dancing a bit with each step, she soon stopped and knocked on the door and continued dancing to her music mouthing the words to the song that was playing. "This time, baby, I'll be bulletprooof," the pink hendgehog mouthed as she starts dancing a bit awaiting for someone to answer the door.
"Oh dear, that must be her. Bootz dear would you mind answering the door?" The rabbit asks as she bends over getting the desert she had made in the oven, our feline getting a slight glimpes of her .... tail as she does so causing him to blush brightly before shaking his head and getting up.
"S-sure, not at all," he answers as his blush remained, looking away as he made his way towards the door soon stopping as he heard the pink hedgehog mouthing the words to the song playing on her walkmen. "What the-?" the suspecting feline soon opened the door only to find a fist come swinging to his face taking him off guard and off his feet causing him to fall right on his tail. "Gah!"
The female hedgehog soon stopped as she wondered what it was that ran into her fist, opening her eyes as she looked upon Bootz rubbing his nose. "Omigod! I'm so sorry, are you alright?" she asked immediately as she crouched down helping, checking to see if she hit him harder than she had intended. "I didn't see you there, guess I got too into my music, oh jeez I'm so sorry."
"Eheh ... really it's fine ... it's not the first time I got hit in the face today.." the feline starts out dusting himself off, the pink hedgehog getting up as well. "And knowing my luck I know it sure as hell won't be the last time today."
"Well I kinda got too into my music an- Wait a second ... who are you? And what are you doing in Vanilla's house?" the young hedgehog then questioned as she leaned in close to the feline, raising an eyebrow in suspicion.
"Uhhh...well I-"
"You some kinda theif or something?" the young hedgehog then asksed getting closer to the feline, the feline blinking and clearing his throat slightly
"Weeeell I am a theif but I-"
"Ahah!" the pink hedgehog then exclaims before pulling out a rather large hammer out of nowhere and pointing it towards the feline. "So you let poor little Cream lead you all the way to her house just so you could steal from her and her mother did ya?" she then says accusing the feline, waving the hammer in his face causing the feline to tilt his head in confusion.
" .... Where the fuck did you pull that hammer from?" was the only question that the feline could ask before the hedgehog took a wide swing aiming for our feline hero, the feline ducking just being able to avoid the swing. "Seriously, where the hell did that thing come from? I don't care if half this fanfic we'll be defining physics just where the hell did you pull that thing from?" he then said as the now irritated hedgehog took yet another swing, the feline attempting to block it with his unbandaged hand only to be pushed to the side before planting himself in place just before the impact amplified. "Jesus ... I'd go on about how what your doing isn't really possible considering the weight of this hammer buuuut cause of where we are I don't think I'm gonna go on about that rather than me going on about where the hell you pulled that friggin hammer."
"Do you ever shut up?!" the pink hedgehog then says with an angry scowl as she swings her hammer once more down toward the feline before he stops it with his free hand like it was nothing, this leaving the female hedgehog stuned. "What the-?!"
The feline then backed away lowering the hammer down to the ground before looking up back at the pink hedgehog. "Can we stop please? I'm runnin' outta witty repartee here, specially on how to ask where the hammer your carrying came from."
"Oh for the love of- Seriously, who are you?!" the pink hedgehog asked with a growl, getting irritated real quick. "And just what are you doing at Cream's?!"
"Well for one he's our guest ... " the voice of a familiar rabbit called out, the hedgehog and feline's heads turning to her with another younger bunny hiding behind them. "He's also staying with us for a while till he gets himself settled since he's new here to our lil old town," she then says as the pink hedgehog looks to the feline.
"Huh?! But this guy's a theif! He could steal your possesions at any moment or something!" the pink hedgehog argues as the feline then rolled his eyes and looked to her.
"Look if I wanted to I could've left and tried to bail the moment you swung at me if I was as bad as your making me out to be. Second, I'm not so petty as to steal from the first person to offer me help and ditch the first chance I get, third I haven't stolen anything in months and if anything I don't intend to steal jack shite while I'm here, by the way you dropped your coin purse," Bootz said as he handed the pink hedgehog her coin purse, leaving her perplexed as she looks back at the feline. "Anything else?"
"Umm .... uhh ... well fine but I'm keeping my eye on you," the hedgehog then says sticking her tongue out as she puts her coinpurse in her dress. "Now then, I came here to baybsit Cream before I ended up running into ... well him," the hedgehog said before giving the feline a slight dirty look before looking back to Vanilla with a smile.
"Let me guess..Amy Rose?" Bootz then asks as he looks to the pink hedgehog, his sudden comment capturing her attention as she raises an eyebrow.
"What about it huh?" she then asks with a slight growl before Vanilla walked and stepped in.
"Sorry, I kinda told him about you as he stayed for dinner with us," the elderly rabbit started off dusting her dress off a bit. "I asked if he could help watch over Cream since he would be staying with us, I got so caught up with cooking I had almost forgotten that you were coming over."
"Uhh .... eheh .... I see ..... " Amy then looked back to Bootz, scratching her head a bit before bowing a bit. "Sorry!"
Our feline just blinked and cleared his throught with a bit of uneasyness, only looking back to Amy and patting her head gently. "Heh, don't worry about it. Umm ... there's still some food inside if ya wanna join in."
"Thanks, but I came to grab Creamy with me to go to a Mina Preview Concert. I figured Cream would love it if I brought her along hence why I came a bit late," Amy explains as she soon gets a hug from the young bunny nearly tackling her to the ground. "Woah, looks like I was right."
The young bunny then lets go walking over to Bootz with a bright smile. "Would you like to come with us? Mr. Bootz?" she then asks, smiling widely as the feline blinks and blushes a slight bit.
"Uhh ... well heh, 'Im flattered although I think this is something you and Ms. Rose would enjoy so-" before the feline could say anymore he found himself staring into Cream's innocent eyes as she started to get teary eyed look. "I ... uhh .... well if you guys don't mind I guess I could probably tag along.." he then answered as he smiled nervously, the now excited bunny soon running up to Amy.
"Can kitty come with us Ms. Amy? Can he?" she asks the hedgehog, giving her the same look which she had also found it hard to say no to.
"Ok ok, no need to give me the look, hun. Just as long as 'Mr. Kitty' behaves himself that is," Amy answers, snickering at the nickname given to the feline.
Bootz had just facepalmed and shook his head blushing a slight bit, smirking a slight bit before he looked to the two. "Alright I'll be good ... just keep that hammer out of crotch distance."
Amy then smirks pulling out her hammer once more, tapping the shaft of the weapon. "No promises."
"Yay!" the excited bunny soon grabed the hands of both Bootz and Amy, running ahead into the town nearby. "C'mon lets hurry!" the bunny says as she started running ahead dragging both the feline and hedgehog along with her.
"W-woah slow down!" the feline said stumbling slightly as Cream lead him and Amy, the pink hedgehog giggling as she lets the excited bunny lead the way to the next town. That town being Neo Mobius, where the next turn of events would take out feline hero.
