I had recently updated two postings in light of two overlooked details, and I have to say I am usually a bug when it comes to details.

The image of the transmission on top is how it originally appeared in the two recent postings of mine. The bottom image is the corrected version.

In a typical car:
The motor and transmission and clutch bell housing are all assembled together (The bell housing had been removed off of the transmission in the two postings and in one of the stories...Most bell housings are bolted on and there are a few that are cast together with the transmission as one piece).
The transmission image on top lacks a rear mount...In a typical rear wheel drive vehicle, the motor is mounted by it's sides near the bottom to the frame of the car (or to hard points if it is a unibody car). And the rear of the transmission is fastened to the car on a bolted in cross member...motor and transmission fastened into the car at three points.

When I noticed I had never drew a rear mount on the transmission, I thought, "Hokie-smokes, was the car that transmission came out of built to just let the transmission flop around under the car?...LOL"
BTW, that round place on the side is where the speedometer gear assembly and cable go into.

And there was no backup light switch harness. With the shifter being internal of the transmission and there being no external linkage, the backup light switch would also have to be an internal assembly, thus necessitating a wiring harness coming out of the transmission...There being only a shift lever has nothing to actuate a button switch mounted somewhere in the car itself.

With all that said, and with some attention to detail, I believe I've gotten it to my satisfaction.

Pic #2 shows another view of that transmission that will appear in an upcoming posting.
Sy Aardwolf's wife, Zella, will also be in that posting.
