Honestly, she's super lucky that she doesn't get worse consequences for her actions.

well, I think if twilight would have found out another way that the little princess is responsible, the punishment would been quite worse. so only the power was limited. something to live by and nothing that will stop the original redemption mission. rather making it more interesting and also more being called worthy redemption, since now it will be bit harder. well, the picture is out of the way. Leaves only to find the changeling. mmm best is to find out who else might have seen him somehow by asking the changeling princess whom she did meet during her travel, where her bodyguard had been also present.
