Nice, we never did know much about Grandpa and this info is rather interesting...do you think there could be perhaps a future chapter or something, maybe with Chris meeting up with him or speaking with him? I don't know perhaps where Grandpa would explain to Chris more about this "preparation" he done with Ninetails for Chris (first thing that comes to mind would be Usagi/Serena seeing Queen Serenity and being told the truth about the Silver Millenium in Sailor Moon)...or something ...I seriously don't know, and I don't think I'm making much sense xD
