I certainly did a bit research, and still missed some references, if it’s right to call them references. At least for me it was not enough just to know about James Cameron’s Titanic movie, and it impressed me to find real world counterparts for many details. Some mentioned details looked obviously researched, but there are also details you wouldn’t expect they truly happened. Some are so good implemented into the story that you may assume it was written only for TOTGM.
I must say this story arc of TOTGM was for me so far a more emotionally charged experience than James Cameron’s Titanic movie and afterwards I was definitely more interested on the real tragedy. Fortunately a lot of information can be found on the internet.

I did my best to merge both the real life disaster and his film together in this story while at the same time making it a unique experience all its own that contained references from both sources yet at the same time was so different it made said references used worthwhile and intriguing.
I didn't want to copy/paste anything I took from both sources, but rather build onto them and rewrite them in ways that actually made readers approve of their usage rather than irritated/insulted or bored from seeing said things in another story.
