So I've been rapidly becoming more and more interested in bugs, not that I'd consider myself a fan of them per say, but they are fascinating little creatures. Some of the things they're capable of is amazing (if not terrifying) and while I may not really want any near me, they do look really cool when you get right down to it. So I suppose that's why I've been gaining an interest in making bug anthros, if not purely because it's so vastly uncommon to see and in a sea of extremely overused animals, I always try to do things not so frequently seen.
Made almost entirely to parallel Arakasa's Amber: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18595080/ this is Vespin, prince of a yellow jacket (or something relatively close to that) society that works under a male hierarchy as opposed to the traditional sense. Still hammering out ideas and details, but I'm happy with his overall appearance.
I'm not a fan of them either. They're something that looks cool from far away, so the design was fun to work with, but in realty I hate having a wasp/hornet around
