Although I think they really really REALLY should not have gone with CG-scaryface at that final instant of the first movie. I had really liked its avoidance of gratuitous special effects throughout, and that one was just really not very well done on top of being unnecessary.
It was good enough at its job though that I probably am going to skip the second one. X3
