Fairly sure that may be common in flight school.

My grandfather was a pilot, and good lord... He had nerves of steel.
He once told me about having to land a small aircraft on the same runway a commercial airliner was taking off on. (I guess there was a mixup in the tower). He missed hitting the underside of the airliner by a foot and a half, maybe 2 feet.

He also scared the crap out of my grandmother on an hour flight we were on, claiming that he was going to do a loop-de-loop.
My grandmother lost her shit and started screming "No (Name), No No No!"
He was an amazing person.

I think it's common in higher education in general, at least for people starting out until they get the swing of things.

I probably would have had some fun talking to your grandfather. Air traffic control has gotten a lot better with technology. The incident you described above is uncommon, but does happen. It happens much less now than it used to, but there are some infamous incidents of airplanes not missing each other on the ground.

He had some pretty great stories.

He was a flight instructor as well, most famous person he ever took up in the air (or so he swears) was the man who went on to create the GPS.

That's very cool, probably not a tall tale as aviation is quite a small world.

Nice page and I think I owe you an apology Chuck.

I went back to the last page to refresh the comic in my head and the last thing I said sounded kind of brusque.
All that I meant to say was people make mistakes and if you admit that you are human like the rest of us it's all water under the bridge.
Peace?

Well, if it weren't for her plaid skirt, you'd see a nice shapely squirrel rump.

Chucky

LOL! Are you referring to 'When his mom dies, when his dog dies..' and I can't remember the third one.

Apparently, it's Korean, acording to this.  When he's born, when his parents die, when he loses his country.  I'll admit I cried when I saw the towers fall on 9/11, but my family is from Brooklyn, and I've been there, and I knew my uncle worked at a New York law firm.  Turns out he wasn't there.  I could see crying when your dog dies.  And both my parents are still alive so far, and my father cried at his parents funerals.  Nothing wrong with that at all.

Ah okay. It was some guy I worked with, he goes, "A guy is only supposed to cry twice, when his mom dies and when his dog dies." I don't think he had a third one.

Always some version of waking up not knowing what class to go to/being late/unprepared for a test, running to class but not getting there.......

wow... she is really tender O_O and affectionate ^^ and poor chucky I would love to just give him a hug... heck Knowing the way i like to play kevin he might even wet his own bed to make chucky feel better XD (and he hates that XD) he's just so sweet and good I just...instently WANT to console him.
Chucky

Ha ha, I can see little Kevin Snowpaw running into the room all wet saying, "Look Chucky, see? It's okay!" Chucky would be embarrassed as shit. Jenny has a good balance of nurture and discipline.
