people need to start buying external hard drives of at LEAST 1TB capacity and archive media they like.
and i mean actually archival. none of this "takedown system" BS that let's someone make a takedown request to just randomly nuke up to a whole career worth of art in an instant. that is not and never will be "archival".
that is what e621 has always done while claiming to be an art archive. if you have such a system in place then you're a glorified curated museum, NOT an art archive.
i already have 1 such hard drive for that purpose full of as many video games as i could squeeze into it with some things from other forms of media as well and i plan to buy more hard drives off in the future when i'm able to.
the entertainment industry has turned against those of us who enjoy pretty much any type of media. video game companies WANT the history of the video game industry erased off the internet.
and now we have a PORN website nuking an entire category of porn featuring FICTIONAL CHARACTERS because of fucking MONEY while trying to gaslight users of the website into thinking it was due to non-existent laws or political BS.
ARCHIVE WHAT YOU CAN AND WANT, PEOPLE! THAT CENSORSHIP TIMER IS TICKING AND IT AIN'T ABOUT TO STOP!
