My last day

So yesterday was my last day at my thankless job working a fast food drive thru. I do not miss it in the least. Aside from picking up my last pay check I don't have to go back there any more and take shit from drunks and stoners who don't know what they want or can't remember what they ordered just two minutes ago. The cherry on that sundae of leaving is getting to leave while playing "I want to break free" by Queen as I clocked out for the last time. Well, I'm done being a dork for now.

Be back to writing in a week after visiting @Spacestrawberry.

That. Who would of thought ordering fast food would be
a test of intellect or decision making skills for some people.

Don't sweat it. The lowest rung of corporate employment is never pleasant.
Nice that you are away from there.
Having bore witness to the asshattery which those special kinds of people
are capable of in fast food eateries, I can agree it's a test of sanity some times.

On to better things hopefully -u-

indeed. I really wish I was making that up about forgetting what they ordered after literally two minutes of ordering. It still doesn't top when people order their food then literally fall asleep at the wheel right after ordering and block the drive thru for a good ten minutes. That happened to me twice... in one week.

I've had to sit in my vehicle behind such a person.
And get out to physically wake them so the line can keep moving.
It was too early to put up with that.
Before the period of time before coffee is consumed is not a good time for anyone
Only for them to, you guessed it, go to instant outrage for no reason.
I don't understand the need some have to be habitually angry with;
and verbally assault strangers at every excuse.

Well no more of that I hope

except for me it wasn't in the morning this was like at one in the morning. If you are that tired you fall asleep after ordering food, it means you need to go home, not eat.

Around the same time.
Half past midnight and I needed something hot to drink
Moving house. Still hunting around for a motel at that time.

Yeah some are just begging for a ticket that way.

Awesome!!!

There is few things as freeing and exhilarating as finally leaving from a job you have grown to despise and hate.

I myself never worked in fast food, but I know a few people who did, and none of them ever regretted getting the hell out of there :-)
(Hint: Better don't eat the press-meat chicken nuggets at KFC (or any other fast food chain), and if you do, you really don't wanna know what's in them)

May I ask what you are going to do next?

back to school and at the very least get certified but going to see about getting my associates and go from there. the more classes I take the more i get paid from my service in the Navy so might as well collect as much as possible while learning about stuff I actually want to learn, right?
