Well, ok there are LOTS of things I'd like. But, see, I just got this new computer chair the other day, and now I come home from work after being on my feet all day at my customer service job, and I just want to sit down and not have to get up...
The problem is that the chair is stuck on the ground, and requires effort to roll across the floor. Especially when there are mats and cords and things in the way. Also piles and piles of stuff because I'm a really untidy person.
SO, all I want for christmas is a hover-chair. Forget jetpacks. Hover chair. HOVER. CHAIR. Seriously, anti-gravity is just magnets, right? All I need is one properly calibrated against the electro-magnetic field of the ENTIRE PLANET... also with gyroscopes and stuff to make sure it doesn't just flip up and crush me to death or something... simple, really.
Alternatively, Santa, you know I really REALLY want that robot monkey butler. For serious, I'll be happy even if it doesn't actually fly or have artificial synthetic skin and fur and stuff. Because I dig heavy metal too, yo, so bare metal and wires and circuitry is fine. I'd still hit it.
But no. Seriously. A hover chair with a built in computer, so I can buy a shiny new Wacom Cintiq and jack that in and just float around the house without having to leave my chair, while I draw! Yay!
Hmm... Wait... I never considered that before. So, a Cintiq basically counts as a monitor? So, would I not even need a normal monitor hooked up?! Holy cow, batman! Monitors are a couple hundred bucks or something, so that's already a saving. Hmm. HMMMMM! You know, maybe that Wacom MobileStudio Pro isn't too overpriced after all...?
Cool, so now I just need to figure out anti-gravity for my hover chair. Though I guess it'll need a power source, and a hamster wheel just ain't gonna cut it...
OOOOOH! Give it some unfolding "landing gear", and a built in footrest! Also a drink dispenser. Uh oh. This magnet is gonna have to either be BIG or just really uber-powerful... or... maybe it's just a complicated matter of aligning it properly to the Earth's magnetic field? I mean, theoretically, I could forego the hover chair and just make it a hover car!
Ooooh, then I'd just need to make enough money selling the hover-cars so I could pay someone else to make me a sexy flying robot monkey butler!
