need some computer tech help if u can call this that.

ok so to start this off I have moved in to my new house with the family. and seeing as im down stairs and ever one is upstairs im pretty much on my own, but I have a small problem in the old house I was on the same level as the wifi box or what ever u want to call it, now on the new house im a floor away from it and my signal is crap its slow and I cant do much so I need help in trying to fix this. things I cant do is change the wifi box as its provided by verizion. but if there is something I can do to my computers or place in my room to help please link it and give a little on how to use it. any help would be great.

this may help i use one in between my house and garage and it's about 50 to 100 feet away and i get about 90% signal ..

this was something I looked at but was not sure how it worked or how I would need to set it up, does this need to be installed and connected to the wifi box or to my pc, or placed where ever in the house. because if I can place this down stairs then I have the perfect place to put it if its not need to be connected to the wifi box

ohh sorry , um well what you do is find the room underneath the wi-fi and plug it in a wall socket and it'll trans mitt an repeater signal to the room in your in that's how you do it ..

Does the box have moveable antennae? You could try pointing them in the direction of your room - or vice versa, if you have one for your system (but if it's a laptop, it's probably integrated).

Also may be worth seeing if there are updated drivers for your system.

The old one that my dad had did but this new one does not, not sure why. And i have done my best to keep stuff up to date, i was able to get a little relife by moving my desktop on top of my desk instead of keeping it under it but its not a 100% fix just a small increase
